Here is my proposal, if you play as a healer, you get a fast pass for DPS queues depending on how many healer queues you’ve played to completion. Now there is an incentive for every DPS to play a healer, and the fact that healers are skipping the line means that non participating DPS will have even longer queue times.
The system will overall lower queue times because healer queues are already short, and the DPS fastpass will be shorter due to more healers and jumping the line.
this is only way to permanently fix queue times but people will cry about being “forced” to play healer
You’ll just have people afk farming ‘fast passes’ for their dps. And if you make it require wins, people will rage about that.
Two things are stopping me from healing solo shuffle right now.
Gear sets. I’ve got a haste build for shadow. Both of my healing sets require mastery builds. I can’t even reforge them, I have to build an entire second set.
Healers should be able to send conquest directly to alts. No buying boxes or the little 50 BoA box you can win, just direct transfer. I’d farm up so many alt toons just spamming shuffle if they allowed that.
So, because of the above, you won’t see me heal shuffle until Shadow spec is done gearing.
This is one of many things they would need to do to put a dent in dps queue times.
I feel that 5k+ gold per 3+ win lobby would be more effective + putting healers in same mmr pool as dps (or buffing their mmr by some coefficient to slightly exceed dps mmr) + maybe BMAH boxes every so many wins for a chance at the 1% or less drop chance mounts and/or no longer attainable mounts (excluding glad mounts and any other mounts that required reputation).
Priority tokens for dps that play healers would definitely be a good start and/or good faith effort though. Almost anything would at this point.
I think the last effort they made was Battle Mender title for 1800+ x wins, which was [at best] a troll attempt (imo).

Game’s not built for 1/3 healers. Even in pve they struggle to slot 1/5 healers. RSS needs to be changed. They’ll do it, but it will be several years too late.
