Healer opinion sought

With forever releasing soon, I can only imagine what this is going to do to queue times for solo shuffle and finding healers for 3’s.

I wouldn’t mind returning to healing but never liked how Holy Priest felt dog water in deep damp / ran out of cooldowns.

What’s a healer that has good utility, can make impactful plays, and doesn’t crumble the moment it’s major cooldowns are gone.

Isn’t Disc like the best healer right now? Just don’t play Holy and go Disc.

Rdruid’s ability to clone, incap, and stun targets make it really good in a lot of situations and a lot of comps when the person playing it knows what they’re doing. It is generally viewed as the highest skill cap healer though and is quite bad in the hands of somebody who sucks at it haha.

I personally began playing Pres during prepatch and enjoy it a lot more than my former main (rsham). Being able to sleepwalk and having solid outs for a lot of situations make the class a lot of fun.

Playing any healer besides rdruid pres or mw is pointless

Resto druid.

Extremely high throughput and less cooldown required than other classes. Arguably the best utility, and has teriffic playmaking ability AND passive healing.

Next closest/best is probably mistweaver or pres, but both involve more “playing in” and are susceptible to punishment as a result.

Thanks Nas.

I’m going to give Resto druid a go, look forward to joining the club.

if mainly playing shuffle oracle disc is the way to go 100%, don’t think about it for another second. It’s the easiest and most forgiving to play too.

As others have mentioned, Rdruid and pres evoker are good too, but imo they are way less forgiving, so unless you’re playing at a gladiator plus skill level minimum I wouldn’t recommend.

The rest of the healing specs are trash (imo).

Probably better off just playing whatever it is you already play. They could giga buff Pres tomorrow, I’m still going to do better playing as Rsham than I will on something I just rolled. Alting is probably more of a long-term investment, rather than a ‘pick it up because it’s good’ scenario, in my opinion.

I mainly just want to do solo shuffles and 3’s.

Holy Priest feels quite limited to only being effective in set-up control comps, and I want flexibility to heal melee comps too.

I hate to say this but restoration druids mana needs to run out kinda like 50% faster..
