Nah, there are plenty of Private servers that run this type of server, so there is def interest in it. Adding HC is just simply another layer of a challenge. Clearly you can;t hack it so you imagine no one can.

Private Servers are the reason you have these Classic WoW versions today, they are a shining example of the direction Blizzard is slowly taking by revising and changing to core of the game to bring in more subs annually to try out the new exciting things they can change to alter the game.
You’re playing on Versions of the game that are essentially private servers but by Blizzard…

Somehow I doubt Blizzard would dedicate any time/resources to creating a server for the 7 masochists wanting a PVP server with permadeath. Might as well just name that server Rogueteamgank.
If they limit permadeath = honorable kill, I assure you it will be a full server, and a long-lived one too.
Bonus: I would increase the rate of experience and gold earned, maybe it would be less hardcore, but it could be more entertaining.
Bonus 2: And I would do it in TBC, where the classes were better balanced to my taste for pvp.

This thread is the mega thread of WoW Hc PvP, it should be examined closely by Blizzard if they want to do it right.
A PvP Server with a faster XP rate (150% or more) and faster Rest XP regeneration (visibly see your Rest moving as you relax in Towns, not just Inns) would work really well for a faster paced PvP experience with way less penalty to Death.
Make the Contested Zones where only players of the Zones levels can PvP (unless they flag)

Way more people play PvP Servers than PvE in regular WoW versions.
Currently HC is only geared toward PvE players, and many people on the HC servers already have been saying without PvP something is missing.
Sorry, but you’re wrong. PvP is World of WARcraft, and numbers don’t lie.
PvP HC servers if done right (faster XP gains, and zone level auto flagging especially.) would bring a LOT of people.
Funny, there were whiners on the forums saying HC would be dead in a month who talked just like this on reg PvE HC servers…

In the end I think Bliz’ HC Ruleset is good and should simply be applied to PvP Realms.
I think it is better with out PvP Gear. Those sets were way too strong for how easy they are to get.
On the other hand, even if the gear is available, it may be difficult to get that much honor on Hardcore. The meta is fun with no PvP gear and doing raids then PvP! Maybe only win traders would end up with pvp gear?
Maybe honor should stay turned off or people will get too blood thirsty for HC PvP kills lol. I think there would be enough gankers as it is already.
Yeah Blizz, roll out another HC server and re-enable PvP for these folks already. It’s quieting down a bit here and I’m ready for an influx of entertainment!

For all the posts asking for a PvP server, I have seen practically nobody actually even PvP flagged in HC, I recall a seeing few on Skull Rock but on Defias a busier server, I have maybe seen a single person flagged. While I suppose this could change as I get higher level, I find that unlikely, as it was only low level players flagged that I saw on SR.
So in reality is there anyone even at all interested in HC world PvP, where they are actually playing? and where they actually don’t have their PvP flag turned off the bulk of the time? If you can’t convince people to PvP in HC on a non PvP server which would be easier then on a PvP server, what are the chances that a HC PvP server will be at all successful?
The unofficial addon supported flagging. Current meta is no addon. Players flag more situationally now or at higher levels. The players are there you just might not see them being flagged 100% of the time with zero incentive/support and high risk. PvP on SR and DP are duels and world PvP objectives at 60.
That’s because they’re flagged ~0% of the time.
Very few people flagged with the add-on, and I suspect the bulk of those who did flag, did it less because they wanted to PvP and more because they were chasing the achievement that the add-on tracked. That doesn’t change the reality though that there are more posts asking for a PvP HC server then there appears to be actually people who want to play HC with their PvP flag on, on the current servers.
It is probably quite easy for Blizzard to actually tell how much time and what percentage of people actually play HC flagged as PvP, and if there is practically no demand for world pvp on the current servers, why would Blizzard think there would be real demand for an actual server? Nothing is stopping people from turning on the flag the moment they log into the starting zone.
