Hazelnutty interview with Ion

I really dislike ion interviews

He adds so much spin and fluff instead of being transparent and actually trying to connect with his playerbase

I find the other dev interviews way more reliable, holinka for example

he confirmed 2pc/4pc tier sets/powers ARE the new borrowed power. Seeing what they did in Sepulcher I can see why. We still lose the borrowed power each raid tier instead of each expansion sadly. Am I the only one who sees this potentially being worse then say an artifact weapon which stayed with us through the whole expansion?

You don’t need to be trust level 3 to post a youtube video.

A separate small team could be tasked with player/guild housing offline from xpac development the product could be delivered in phases but no way would this impact other developments unless Blizzard are running a barebones development environment , which have to doubt , they managed the latest shadowlands content update whilst developing the new Xpac.

that is not even close to what he said.
He said it was such a huge undertaking that it would take several expansions to fully implement.

Meaning they would have to build it up in game across several expansions, NOT that they couldn’t do anything else BUT that.

Should’ve given us player housing back in WoD

Yes. I love her voice. You can download her voice for dbm… right?

Is there ROI in that? You pay a team to do actually nothing to the current game for a very long period of time.

Exactly…

A company that profits hundreds of millions can’t afford to hire more developers and instead claims it would cost us an xpac lol…

I’m not sure but I’d love to. Would have also loved getting TB to yell at me in DBM like he can in StarCraft II. Sadly not possible there.

Love Hazel….
Thanks for posting.

Not if they worked on it a little at a time over the course of multiple expansions.

What does that mean? They gotta rework a good deal of the code before they can even think about releasing even bits of player housing, and to no guarantee that it would be well received in the end.

QOL is all i saw from the video UI changes that had addons for years anyways how is that my fault that there UI system is so outdated from 2004 and other games have remarkably better Ui or can customize it that’s patch worthy not a 60$ paid fix.

new talent tree to go away from the cookie cutter spec that its gonna be again anyways revamping professions yet again paid premium for wasted development effort just like tax dollars being spent on Russian oil its the same exact difference you all get what i mean by that statement.

Where’s the content at like for shadowlands what covenants a bunch of pointless legendries for each spec this is where all the time and money people pay them is going to some pointless system like that getting paid money to use up development time on something like that instead of making fun and engaging content not some crutch for your character that makes or breaks it because that’s all what legendries are one is Bis rest are obsolete and a waste of developer time same for returning set pieces that no one enjoys that’s where the development time is going too.

Also i just want to add that the new class evoker which looks neat and all the spell effects look low grade animations just like the shadowform for priest change they made.

To clarify though. It seems that with he work order system a crafter can craft items for people that get those drops. While I don’t think it was said the crafter had to raid.

I think specifically he said you can get a drop for a base item and take it to the work order board to have someone craft it for you.

That sounds very reasonable.

true that the work order system can get you that item you cant get yourself so its time to buy some wow tokens…lol.

i will check your expansion Blizzard

There’s no guarantee that anything they do will ever be well received. That’s not a reason to not do something.

I have a hard time believing that Blizzard can’t do what all other major MMOs (and many smaller ones) have managed to do. I don’t believe for a second that implementing housing would take 100% of the attention of 100% of their team for 2+ full expansion cycles.

So Drakthyrs will not fly they will only glide.

Gliding is different to fly.

He said it is like the DH’s glide but ++.

That ++ could be many things will see later. Maybe a longer gliding.

You cropped the rest of my post. It’s one thing to release something that people may not like, using the current frame. It’s something else to rebuild the whole frame and it ends up not being well received, huge waste of time.

They were all designed from the start to have housing.
