My family is Greek, and like any early-generation US-immigrant family, obsessive about their olives.
Except me. I think they’re the absolute worst thing on the planet. “What is wrong with you, you don’t like olives? Are you even Greek???”
And thus, they did just that to me, and ruined my pineapple pizza once. My heart sank when I opened that aromatic box just to see the abomination in front of me.
My wife loves pineapples on pizza. I prefer mushrooms and jalapeños. So we usually order them half her way, half mine.
I dunno. Meatlovers I would wager is far more popular here in Aus than pineapple pizza is. The part about giving it to fussy kids is correct though. I never liked pineapple pizza and if I ever acted up when I was a kid and we had had pizza for dinner my old man would intentionally buy one of those kids boxes our shop used to have and order pineapple pizza for me while he, my mum, and my sister had meatlovers and pepperoni.

One of the more enjoyable pizza’s I had was a Pineapple, Ham and Shrimp pizza. Quite tasty.
