I mean you explained it yourself. Our single target/boss damage was lack luster in M+ and we sacrificed maybe a tiny bit of AoE damage for more ST focused damage. But all in all, this doesnt help us in raid.
And even so, the points we have to sacrifice just to get serrated glaive is kind of an inconvenience.
