I wonder why I got the six month sub? I quit BFA a few months in and haven’t played since. Then shadowlands… and thought ‘why not’? The raiding is fun. But the rest is just not doing it for me.
I am after legendaries. I may be casual but what I like to do with my friends is PVP, and as a balance druid I need BOAT. I have it at 190 but that isn’t going to be enough. I acknowledged that this is a personal thing I need to get over, but it doesn’t change the fact that it weighs on me.
you wont like torghast for much longer its repetitive. boring. not fun solo grind. stylistically dull. and takes long even as a dps class skipping rooms.
and the kicker is u cant kill the last boss unless u stack the same old boring anima skills time and time agian.
I have a great deal that I do out of game as well as things I do while I’m playing. To be honest I don’t know the last time I sat down and only payed attention to WoW. At the very least I have on an audiobook are I’m watching lectures from Yale or MIT.
This is my attempt at humor. Maybe I’ve been watching to much Blackadder and Monty Python. I’ve been brushing up on my ability to insult people by painting more visceral images rather then the standard phrases people use such as shill.
As far as being a shill if this was a case of a single way that blizzard changed the game and people were not happy then it would be a difference in opinion. Seeing as its more then a dozen completely unrelated issues and you feel free to want to insult those players then yes I think no matter what Blizzard does you will be saying it great. Unless there ever comes a time when there is no one else to play with.
They have been phoning it in with armor for years now. I’m guessing the new armor models require more development time, hence the lack of variety. I think this started in WoD with all the dungeons basically dropping the same armor models. I miss each dungeon having unique loot personally.
All MMOs I tried since vanilla have somehow been unable to capture the fluidity of movement. I have no idea how, but that seems to be the biggest problem to overcome.
Maybe there are good ones out there but to your point, I don’t need half naked elf chicks in bikini plate bending over and dancing around in my game
In vanilla/TBC they were used to unlock meaningful rep, and other dungeons/raids to do. In WoTLK as well, but in a different way.
Loot is always apart of WoW, as it should be, but Blizzard has changed “World of warcraft” into “world of where’s my loot.” There are very few goals outside of gear. Again, it’s not wrong for it to be the main focus, but the way you progress your character is more tedious and linear than ever.
The vault has been good to me, so my complaints don’t stem from a lack of gear. The problem I see, is that casual gearing has become a PvP thing, and PvE is either irrelevant or super difficult. No, tying memories to dungeon drops does not make the dungeons relevant; making players spam easy content praying to RNG is not fun.
I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Karazhan’s attunement and difficulty isn’t something that belongs in WoW anymore (I mean tuned for modern characters still, but mechanically similar.) Some of those heroics were definitely not easy back in the day, but then again I was an enhancement shaman without CC…
They’re not developing for the middle of the road casual players like they did up until WoD. Legion marked a sharp departure away from the original vision the game had of being a casual MMO that’s hard content sort of topped out at a difficulty that included a lot more skill levels.
Now, the game has a difficulty setting for every player which has basically segregated players into their own little bubbles. It has fragmented the community greatly and has created a very toxic culture around the harder content that is now trickling down into every part of the game.
What made WoW fun was getting together and just having fun with content that wasn’t soul crushing difficult.
Edit: I think if Classic added more content, it would probably rival retail for subs. Wait until they release Wrath too, that had the perfect balance of difficulty in my opinion.
