And any attempts to argue this = instant thread deletion and the person is trolling.
The game is great and I’m not even mythic raider.
If you don’t like the game, grow up, cancel sub and move on
I don’t think you are trolling, but one person against an organization or corporation is bad take you’ll get no where.
Exactly, there should not be different difficulties. There should be one difficulty to rule them all and if you can’t fit that then you need to get better or try a different area of the game like lower level mobs. None of this, I need the best gear and wipe 10,000 times just to complete contents. If the game is too easy no one will play it. Ghostcrawler is right about everyone should be able to play the game, but for those who want the most difficult things, it shouldn’t be trivial mechanics of a raid or gear limited. It should difficult mechanics, using cooldowns on time, 3 hits your dead or even if you get hit by a mob 2-3 levels higher than you, it dazes you like it use to in vanilla and then you eventually die because you failed by getting hit in the first place. This kind of play has not existed in god knows how long and is actually impossible to find in the current game. At the moment MLG != MLG at all. No where close. It’s a complete grind fest of not standing in fire. The games controls are the most fluid I’ve ever felt. It’s like the WoW engine is divine but it’s being used all wrong. They need to utilize the core engine of WoW to its full ability - I.e meaning if you have 100% movement speed and a mob has 108% movement speed, you better blink on cooldown or you are dead. Sh1t like this doesn’t even exist in the current game anymore. Everything opposite is happening. They are using the “core engine” horribly, maxing the core engine doesn’t mean putting the most spells, confusing tooltips, irritable fire and confusing non difficult mechanics in the game. It literally means having the right variables in the right places to make it challenging. Simple is better, not more spells, more mechanics, more tooltips. Less = more. The game is a current of pile of trash and anyone who doesn’t agree with that is brainwashed or blind.
Are you ok?
The difficult level is for people who can’t or don’t want to play high difficult. You don’t need 421/424 item if you only play LFR. So, get your 372 item and be on your way.
Where do you set that difficulty?
The skill gap of this tame is so incredibly wide, that if you made it for the mythic raiders, almost nobody clears the raid.
If you make it for heroic, more clear it, but the mythic raiders might get bored and leave, same if you do it for Normal.
What I am referring to, is, if you can’t complete it, go somewhere else. That dungeon is not for you. Don’t have 3 different difficulty levels of the dungeon. Where the only difference is how hard it is, by removing 1 or two mechanics and toning it down so people with less gear can complete it.
Maybe you should try Classic WoW.
So let me get this straight you only one difficulty?
Raiding should be 1 difficulty only. If you can’t complete it, then you need to skill up else where. That content isn’t made for you and you don’t get to raid at all until you get better…
But what difficulty should that be?
I know nothing about it other then I already played the sh1t out of it back in 2005/2006. I’m sure they’ve found ways to make the remake easier, not harder.
Difficult enough, where you have to hone your skills in dungeons before raiding and if you can’t complete a dungeon. Then skill up in the open world. Currently, open world content is not hard. Dungeon content is not hard. Raid content is not hard. All the stepping stones to the top are not hard. It’s a grind of reading tool tips and completing easy mechanics. The mechanics need to be much harder, to the point where if you are a couple or pixels off navigating around ghosts in the ZG remake for instance. Then you are dead. Not sure where you can even try that phase of the fight solo anymore, one because you need a tank and healer to get you to that phase and two because I am unsure if any private servers. If anyone knows, once the ghosts come out and your party dies, it is possible to get him to the next phase if you can figure out how to dodge make the gurubashi zerkers path back down the bridge. Dodging the ghosts is trivial.
Sorry to say this it doesn’t matter since logs and level score took over the game. They could make one difficulty and they would muck it all up.You’ll never get the gear ever.
At this point the only hope is a complete remake.
They wouldn’t too much money was involved in making it harder for folk to enter.
Well, it is the game you’re asking for: just one boss difficult version. Other than that, I think you’re wasting your time and everyone else’s time with this thread.
This game is in the healthiest state that it has been in a long time. I tried reading through most of your comments but lost braincells along the way. You claim to have played in 2005/2006 which should put your age at 30+… but your comments have a childish state to them. You are quick to flop ideas, you spam responses, and you use phrases that are not common knowledge, or phrases that are just childish in general.
You start with a discussion that you don’t PvE… and yet you are obsessing over PvE gear, and Mythic raiding like it is something you just expect to walk into fresh at 70.
You talk about top end guilds and Major League Gaming as if those matter to you. Dude, that NFL player has the best cleats money can buy, how can I even play against him… you won’t ever. They aren’t in your league. They don’t even care or know that you exist.
Oh no, those darn other classes.
So… you want to be able to play all by yourself in an MMO. Then why do you even care what everyone else has in terms of gear. Just go into last expansions M+ dungeons or something and have fun playing by yourself.
Except a vast majority of people play MMOs specifically for the progression (Leveling into gear while climbing the challenges).
But you just said you want to play solo and that you don’t even PvE… also anyone doing +18s and above, I.E me, can tell you its a load of bull that an individuals skill makes no difference. Get out of here. Raids are the same, good luck doing even N Raz with 1 person who can’t find their interrupt.
The amount of bots in classic doing this would show you it takes zero skill. it is also incredibly boring and only a few classes can keep up consistent aoe slows at a range. Modern WoW specifically adds mechanics (dashes, casts, stuns, shields) to mobs now so they don’t just run all slow at you cause that was soo easy.
Ah yes, all bow down to Frostyownz. The guy who wants to play by himself, never changing his gear, while running around with a ton of mobs following him for hours on end, while clicking the 3 spells of blink, frost nova, and blizzard. He will show us what fun is.
This game has done nothing but adapt for better or worse. They went from 1 raid difficulty, to two, to now four. Just so they could introduce tiers of challenges, oh and they added M+ which has been a raging success since it added a near infinite scale of challenge for small group play.
Don’t even know what this means, but there are certainly one shots abound. Stood net to tank, cleaved one shot. Didn’t kick important cast, one shot. You are the tank and didn’t mitigate a tank buster, one shot. Didn’t use a movement skill to get out of the way, one shot.
It does… So where are you even coming from.
And this is where you lose me. Completely wrong as well as casually sexist.
Yeah cause you are trolling. This post and every statement you have made is a joke. You have shown next to no understanding of the current state of the game.
Uhm what? Saying the game is trash is childish? Ok. How about you stay in your own lane, I could be 50 saying the game is trash because it is. It’s facts.
True.
I do not understand your point? Just talk to anyone, everygame dh,dk or something similar.
I never said I wanted to play the game by myself, in-fact I believe the complete opposite. I believe that a person’s skill is what helps them make friends.
There are no challenges anymore.
Not true, the game is skilless and has been since TBC. Nothing is difficult.
Pressing an interupt is not hard and that is the problem with this game. No one with their skill can carry a group, because no skill is involved, just big numbers, not standing in fire, rotating cooldowns. It’s a joke.
I never asked anyone to bow down to me. Gear upgrades are fine, but not having gear should not be a factor in how hard the game is. They need to get the base game figured out so that it is fun and hard before introducing another variable like gear.
Never ever said I wanted to play by myself and it doesn’t have to be a ton of mobs following me, it could be 1 powerful mob I kite through the previous cleared dungeon and use pathing techniques like jumping off a stair case so it paths the other way or kiting spellmaw. Challenges should be easy to find anywhere.
Exactly, it has gotten worse ever since TBC launched. The game has become watered down and braindead. In the past you use to be able to ride around on your mount in the open world and easily die if you get a few mobs on you. In-fact I flew around the entire TBC game looking for decent aoe spots or even mobs to kite, only to find out the big steampunk roller guys in hellsfire move too fast for a mage to kite, and there was only 1 spot or so to Aoe farm in netherstorm. Mind you, there was some good dungeon Aoe spots like in slavepens where they use the pathing of the walls to by jumping on the boxes and on the lip of the wall and then back down. We shouldn’t have to be looking high and low and obscurely for things that are challenging. Also, there were no mobs like spellmaw to kite, they all evaded before you got them any decent distance.
I do not tank so I couldn’t comment, kicking a spell is trivial and not based on skill because the mobs are usually grouped so tightly that they are hard to target the one you need to interupt. Causing you to need an interupt macro or something. There is no skill in finding the mob inside the group of mobs you need to interupt and interupt it.
This is great, we need more of this, I do not know from a tank perspective but ZG ghosts on the dungeon remake, would kill you if they got too close. This usually only happened when you were the last one alive. Even then, it was avoidable but it was challenging. Nothing like it is now - take a portal, do enough damage to phase him and interupt spells before taking the portal back. When it should be dodge 50 mobs who are actively chasing you while kiting a gurubashi zerker.
It maybe the hardest the content in the game, but its not hard for the right reasons. At least from a mage perspective. It’s more of a grind with more RNG involved than ever in the past.
What? Have you walked around the open world and seen how measly the big dragons are with 900k in the waking shores? Have you seen how easy it is to kill multiple big thunderbeast elites? Have you seen how quickly leashes fail and how little damage 1 mob does. You don’t need to pull 100 mobs trying to find the right interupt in the group for the game to be hard. If the game is made correctly, it should be hard even with 1 mob. There should be kiting and taunting rotations. Sometimes not playing the game is more than actively playing it - i.e. running with your kite.
Stop defending something that is inhertly bad game design.
Maybe next time stop being a douche ok? Maybe next time treat people with respect. I never took stabs at anyone. I simply stated a fact that the game is dead or trash.
I hear Bungie is looking for new Halo players.
Everyone gets the same gun.
