Okay. Go back to retail if you don’t like it.
This is an RPG event in an MMORPG. Retail lacks RPG elements, and has spoiled the idea of what an MMORPG should be.

in general… if you hated the plague… boys and girls, you are REALLY NOT gonna like whats comin. me, im gonna lmao and enjoy it lol.
Attacking NPC’s wherever they are in the world is not abuse, otherwise the NPC’s would be immune to the plague (like how the patchwerk guardians of Undercity are) and the abuse would be finding a way around that immunity and still infecting them.
Lorewise, would the scourge say ‘oh wait guys we should stick to main cities only, lets let some people level’
No they would say ‘braaaaiiiinnnssss’ and non nom on anything in sight, including quest givers.
This event is meant to be disruptive and simulate a real invasion of the scourge, ideally people were supposed to band together and fight against the scourge to simulate that ‘social interaction’ people keep going on about.
Instead we are back to the ‘grind to max level, afk in cities waiting for raid/dungeon or bg queue while surfing ah’ experience everyone is just dying for instead of enjoying a once in a decade event.
I like the plague invasion event. What I would have liked to do is invade the capital of the opposing faction. Now that all your npc are dead from the plague.
thats your opinion. Rules state otherwise. Prevention of progression. What you FOOLS did wrong, was attack all the low level areas to prevent new players from experiencing the game. But at least they kept it to the og experience. they saw more people saying it was disruptive than people who liked it, saw the damage it was doing to the player base, and shut it down. Good job blizzard.
Forums are a salt mine.
I wish I could link a Cobra Commander gif.
Believe what an opinion says in the forum. It may be a bad metric. most don’t use forums. If I’m here it’s because I can’t play because of the long queues. Without anything to add, there’s no point in commenting on something you can’t play. Good for those who enjoyed that event and its mistakes. reminds me of the zulguruk event.
LOL the pet plague…Loved it
You are stretching that rule quite a bit and besides this event wasn’t ‘prevention’ of progression it was ‘delay’ of progression.
You can still progress, if the place you want to level is a hot spot, find a different one or take a few hours break.
Or maybe you could ask for other people to help? I mean that’s the whole point of the event to get some interaction from players.
You prevented yourself from progressing, instead of coming up with solutions you complained and missed out on an opportunity to build the community / have some non scripted fun.
True prevention of progression is not being able to log in at all or having your character stuck and unable to move etc…
No maam. i watched. 8 hours of NO quest givers in northshire. not a single one. You cant progress in a situation such as that. Im not saying ALL the participants were douchebags. But there was enough of them to cause a concern.
You could’ve asked for help, that’s the whole point of socializing and MMO’s in general.
You could’ve banded together with other levelers who were struggling.
The NPC’s respawn if you kill the zombie form. This isn’t ‘prevention’ it is ‘delay’. Prevention would’ve been if the NPC don’t respawn at all or are stuck in zombie mode.
You could’ve had a unique experience that may never happen again.
Instead you complained and found excuses not to play.
Enjoy your ‘rush to max level, afk in cities’ experience, you had a chance to really experience some dynamic gameplay but decided to opt out.
Not sure who you’re talking to…was it me? Because I assure you, your little griefing party didnt stop me from enjoying my game. You people just took it too far and started griefing new players. Disgusting behaviour. Cant believe blizzard let you do it for as long as they did/
Yeah I’m talking to you and my point stands: you had options, you chose not to play and started to complain instead.
Also, I wasn’t part of whatever ‘griefing’ party you’re referring too. I only had a chance to RP once as a zombie with a group of 10-20 others in Org. We never left the city and we were being a menace for at most 30 minutes before (and here’s the key part) other players such as priests and paladins who could dispell the disease started fighting back and once they killed us, they would prevent us from getting infected again by spamming their cleanse.
Most of our zombie team left after that and there were only 3-4 players fighting against us. It really doesn’t take that many people to stop a zombie invasion but unfortunately no one wants to do that, they would rather put on their Karen masks and complain.
Now if only you decided to band together with other players and stopped the zombies, you might’ve had an interesting experience. Instead you chose not to play, complained, and missed out on a rare event that may never happen again.
As always, enjoy your ‘grind to max lvl, afk in cities’ mantra as that’s all you seem to care about. No unscripted fun for you, just follow questie to the next area.
You’re wrong. the end. 50-100 players attacking northshire where level 1s spawn…You people are the reason the event ended. Take your level 1 trolling arses on out of here. NOT WELCOME! Go back where you came from, trolling runescape
Did you even read what I said? I was in ORG the whole entire time… Read that again ‘I was in ORG the entire time’
Who are you talking to? Clearly not me, I don’t know why you’re projecting.
And btw, if the devs didn’t want players to infect level 1 area’s they would’ve made it off-limits by putting strong guards there or making players under level 10 uninfectable.
This is intended gameplay, it is not hacking or anything like that.
Lastly… why didn’t you recruit other players to defend the area? Again, you chose not to fight back but to complain and be a Karen.
because i wasnt involved. LOL!!! I was out progressing, levelling and training skills, like we were supposed to be doing
Ahhh yess… ‘grind to max level, afk in cities’
The zombie event is intended gameplay. People knew about it MONTHS ahead of time.
What you were supposed to be doing is fighting against the zombies. It’s the whole point, you have 3 options, fight against zombies, be a zombie, or ignore it… Most people chose to ignore it hence why zombies got really bad in certain areas.
afk? Never. i grind and start a new toon. Nobody afks in cities duh
Ohh… so did you have a max level character who had the strength to fight against the zombie plague… but chose not to?
Did you ignore the zombies? Until they took over a whole entire area?
Did you at least try fighting back? Maybe getting some help from other players?
Did you instead chose to be Karen and complain?
Everybody at max level afk’s in cities lol, they’re either at battlemasters, auction house, or they’re waiting on filling their dungeon/raid group.
Just go take a look around your main city hub. You will see a majority of max level players in cities rather than out in the open world, and they’re all afk waiting for something to happen.
Find me an area that has more max level players in it than the main city (SW, ORG). I’ll wait.
