This has been a thing on Bloodsail since 2019. At least on Alliance. That drake has been in Stormwind so often that the city council was considering making a monument for all of the fallen.

It’s over run with crap names. So many that you’d need hours to report them all. They could have at least made an effort to follow a couple of the RP policies. The HC community has gotten a lot more vile lately, guessing the streamer groupie thing. I’m playing HC there and often times I turn off the chat channels (better for immersion anyhow). I took the free transfer to Mankrik with my older RP characters some time ago. 🫤

Ganking someone once is not reportable. Even if they are sitting in the same spot killing multiple people. The fact you cant camp the same person multiple times making it targeted harassment because people delete the character is kind of ironic

There’s been a shocking amount of people abusing those who are just trying to have fun and create good memories though.

My solution, turn off chat channels unless you need to make a dungeon group. Don’t bother guilding, the big ones boot you if you don’t play every day. Go solo, immerse yourself, relax, have fun. If you die, go again. I’m not supportive of the appeals feature, and I’m not about to record my lvl 15 in Westfall, no matter the circumstances. Don’t feel like you must use it.
Speaking of immersion, the voiceover AI is great, check it out.

I play on Bloodsail Buccaneers on Classic Era. There have been next to (Not Joking) Multiple thousands of reports on at just 3 seperate griefers not counting the other 10 on the server.

The Hardcore community, just trying to enjoy the game in a new and different way has been ransacked non-stop by these people for months on end, with next to no action for their transgressions as to violating TOS in terms of disrupting player experience.

Ruined what? There is barely any RP happening on the Wrath BSB server. The ‘community’ on BSB classic was non existent before HC. You have an irrational hatred for a game mode…fine. Forcing people to pvp flag with tricks that involve bugs, mind control caps, bringing guards on top of people to drop them and force a pvp flag or the guard to attack them, dropping infernals is not normal pvp gameplay especially on a pve server.

There is almost no counterplay to this and it is forcing people to pvp flag on a pve server against their will. On a pve server, pvp is opt in not get a guard dropped on you or someone hiding in stealth on a mob tricking you to click them and be forced to pvp flag.

If you want world pvp go to a pvp server or find people that willingly flag for pvp. Forcing people and tricking them to pvp flag on a pve server when they do not want to pvp flag is not just normal gameplay, it is disrupting and is against the TOS.

Additionally, kiting mobs around to kill people and disrupt their gameplay is also against the rules it is irrelevant whether people have been doing it since 2004 or not.

Those were all things that people did back on the day, including yes pve realms, its an honest shame that so many people have become so jaded that those moments of fun that create lasting memories for so many people have now become moments of anger where they feel like they’re being “griefed” because 30 minutes of their time got taken away from grinding a mob 4 lvls below them to now some dynamic gameplay for a brief moment. Hopefully blizzard reverses their weird decision to make so many iconic gameplay elements of classic now bannable because people who are choosing to opt into a gameplay mode that was never even intended feel “griefed”.
