Has Anyone Definitively Decided?

Well, there is quite a bit of +frost damage gear that is mage only, and +shadow for warlock (or that naughty priest for off spec).

So you could both do mage/lock and no gear would go to waste. Even a lot of the crafted cloth gear comes in shadow and frost varieties.

Would probably be a great DPS/utility combo.

Tauren Druid - I’m a GL of a reforming pve raiding guild from TBC. I’ll level feral as healer/tank for our 5-mans, then heal for raids. Most of my work so far has been centered around the guild organizational effort.

Tauren warrior son. Seeing the leeway videos makes me think of TBC arena and how I was able to get my hamstrings through the pillars in nagrand arena. At 1st I did not think warrior would appeal to me anymore, but after testing it on a Pserver, although leveling sucks, it had me hooked back in. Plus I’ll be with a friend leveling priest so it shouldn’t be nearly as bad.

Fem orc shaman.
Jury’s still out on professions as I change my mind a fair bit about those.

yeah one of us would be tailor/ench so we can get the crafted stuff if we need, and early wand’s but I question if thats even needed if we duo, would just could steamroller everything.

I’m also pretty sure that my son and I will absolutely outlevel the other ones who are less sure on what they want to do.

If there was an ‘optimal’ 5 person group horde side, what would it be?

Warrior
Priest
Rogue/Mage (cc?)

Yes !

RP server… Human… Paladin

I would say Warrior, Priest, Rogue, Mage, Hunter*. Hunter has a star because that is entirely dependent on if the Hunter is a “good” one or not, meaning they know how to use LOS, chain Freezing Trap mobs and have solid Pet Control.

My first serious character was a Hunter and I would literally spend hours practicing nothing but seeing how long I could chain trap the Ogres above Shattrath during BC. This actually earned me a reputation as a good hunter back then and people would whisper me asking if I could run “X” dungeon with them because they needed reliable CC. I had no trouble finding groups.

The flip side of that coin is that a BAD hunter will make your life absolutely miserable. So whoever chooses to roll a hunter in your group (if they do), make them practice trapping, re-trapping and Kiting…a lot.

edit: for me this time around I’ll be rolling a Tauren Feral Druid. I will be a Bear tank and Flag runner as well as vigilant protector of the Crossroads.

Shammy and something else

Unless I am talked into going horde it will be a gnome rogue

I’ve certainly thought about it and tested the class (Shaman) to see if its my thing. Its an option.

Nope, I keep switching between rogue, mage, priest and warlock, rofl.

As for race, I have narrowed it down to either human or dwarf though. Human if mage or warlock, dwarf if priest or rogue.

orc rogue and undead mage for me gotta love those pvp racials

Dwarf Hunter

Definitely a tauren shaman.

undead rogue, male

Someone has to carry the mantle of edge lord and annoyance.

Leaning towards Orc Shaman

Undead Warlock. Back when people actually feared fear.

I know that my Horde main is going to be a Tauren Shaman and my Alliance main will be a Dwarf Priest (love the healing life). Depending on which side I focus on (The one where I find new friends to play with and help), I’d like to add a hunter alt, maybe a druid. Don’t think I have time for much more than those toons. I started in Wrath, so I’m seriously pumped to see the original game!

same. And no alts.

You know i thought the same, orc rogue, but 2 issues.

Getting caught in a fear that WotF would have saved you from BLOWS.

The Sprint animation on the orc is REALLY bad lol.
