Has any of the new WoW music really hit hard?

I can’t really remember any pieces of WoW music. Last xpan I really remember songs from is MoP. Has any current tracks hit hard?

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I don’t like any WoW music. I can listen to Final Fantasy songs and Undertale songs on loop, but there’s not a single WoW one I could do that with.

People actually play with the music on?

Yes, lol. Especially when I get the Pandaren BGs or arenas.

WoW has music?

I like LoL music at times. That stuff was fire.

There’s a part of the log in screen music that is nice, very similar to the Grizzly Hills music. I don’t play end game stuff, never been to the Dragon Isles, so don’t know if it plays in any zone there though.

And something new, this patch:

I only play with music/sounds on. I feel disconnected and my attention strays if I don’t. I also tend to listen a lot more for in game cues, as my eyesight isn’t the greatest, so if I don’t have music & sounds on, I’m going to get startled (irl) or killed more often in game.

I really enjoy the music of Dragonflight at times. Other times I play with something else on.

Nothing hits like Russel Brower’s music did.

I play with music off but there’s been some pretty good ones posted from SL and DF.

The first soundtrack still rings sweetly in my head though.

Wow music hasn’t been good since they fired Russel Brower.

since bfa all the music has been lacking severely since russell brower was fired or left due to “restructuring”

I don’t really enjoy music in WoW that “hits hard”.

I very much prefer the more ambient style of WoW’s old OSTs, such as in vanilla and TBC. Those OSTs were peak.

this is the best soundtrack ive ever heard for a raid tho

That stuff definitely “hits hard”

Nothing that made me have enough interest to look it up. Most of it feels like generic game music to me. I guess I’m more for ‘zone’ music then ‘look this is an epic score’! type stuff. Darnassus music, Blasted Lands with ambience, Honor Hold are some music I think of when I think of WoW. But some I found that I missed I liked was the void allied race stuff, I think it was Drustvar. A couple songs I can’t remember but I think were from Legion.

Drustvar, Boralus, Ardenweald, and Azure Span
I honestly cried when I first heard Ardenweald

To anyone ever asking things like “WoW has music?”; I know folks are making jokes but honestly, choose a random location and turn on ambience, sound effects, and music so they are the loudest (think ambience 80, sound effects 60, and music 70) and just … sit still for a minute or two

In those few moments you’ll see, learn, and discover things about WoW than what some folks don’t discover in decades of playing the game

I tend to enjoy the ambient stuff more as well but not just the classics. Korthia and zerith mortis had really good ambient tracks.

The plains probably has the best music in DF so far. Not really a fan of the main expansion theme that plays while dragon riding.

But generally speaking you aren’t going to find comparable music to like ff14 where boss fight music transitions to a rock song when the second phase starts. Which is really cool, don’t get me wrong, but wouldn’t fit in this game.

I’m a big fan of the Azure Span zone music…But that’s mainly because I’m a big fan of Grizzly Hills’ zone music, and Azure Span is pretty much just Grizzly Hills 2.0.

All I see in this thread is a LOT of Revendreth music slander.
