Has a Blizzard employee ever responded?

Not meant to be a troll or anything, just seriously curious. Seems like a huge discord of the wow community at this point haha. Thanks

Why would they? Entire forum is mostly awful players with trash takes. People who barely understand their own class let alone others calling for random nerfs and whine posts.

Then you have the boomers talking about mop or whatever crying about the game

Hordes of lvl 1 trolls posting the same garbage every day

This place isnt worth acknowledging by anyone at Blizzard

They post bits of relevant info from time to time.

I don’t think anybody can really expect blues to be replying to stuff like “nerf op spec”.

They don’t really care what the general community thinks, nor do they attempt to engage in any discussion. We have no idea what they are thinking most of the time, and they don’t have a very good understanding of how players feel about their product (e.g., 10.07 ret paladin PTR feedback, 10.1 spriest PTR feedback, etc).

The community council was created in an attempt to filter and partition the masses, along with its lurking toxicity and trolls, from the omniscient elites at Blizzard. Even so, there is very little discourse between the CC and devs, except for a few token examples. A lot of issues don’t even get brought up by the community council as well, but all of this is ultimately the result of Blizzard’s failure to dedicate the resources and take the time to properly gauge the entire community.

they probably just skim through post. its easy to see which post aren’t worth reading and which are and its probably what they do.

Ghostcrawler (Ion’s predecessor’s predecessor iirc) used to respond to player suggestions and feedback on the forums sometimes

Hmm, the last real ‘discussion’ reply was in December haha. Oh well :smiling_face_with_tear:

Holinka used to have PvP Q&As.

He’d answer all the questions. You might not agree with what he said, but he’d explain the reasoning behind their decisions.

Outside of the Q&As, he was probably bombarded on Twitter with everyone’s PvP grievances. I definitely didn’t @ him every other day.

Now it’s all gone. :sob:

He’s spoken pretty candidly about that since leaving-his reflex to do that was extremely shocking to blizzard leadership and they told him to cut it out constantly

There was once a legend named Ythisens, who actually posted in the arena forums and replied to people. Blizzard laid him off along with 800+ other people. He’s a CM for LoL now.

Holinka would double talk all the time, giving the reason something shouldn’t be changed as the reason why it was changed. It was pretty infuriating tbh, but I don’t know if that was him just having to justify changes that he himself might not have agreed with or what.

This is probably why their sub count is low.
They can’t even keep their own employees.
