imo house cats are a waste. sure they’d live longer but man, my cats always seemed so happy to be out and about catching mice, lounging in the yard, or hanging out with other cats. we humans can’t be stuck in one place for more than a few days without going crazy, its not odd to say the same is true of cats.
They are mini tigers. Have you ever watched a cat play with a toy mouse? As you probably already know, that’s how they kill it lol
Gotta be careful cuz outdoor cats can kill too many of the local animals
Both of mine are house cats. I try to get em to go outside.
They get scared and want back in lol
And if they eat a poisoned animal it can cause issues. Like if someone put out mice dope and a mouse ate it… then the cat ate the mouse.
Dang it. I’m going to tell a cat story, ain’t I? Yep.
Had a cat growing up, he will remain nameless, This cat was something else. Mice. Not only would he catch mice. One time I saw him give a mouse to the dog to play with. When the mouse ran off, he went caught it again and brought it back. (I called in the dog before… you know. )
Squirrel. Chipmunk. Birds. Only thing this cat didn’t catch were the humming birds.
True story 100%. We had two wild turkeys fighting in the woods out back. They eventually made their way up into the drive way. I look down the driveway from the deck and there he is. The Hunter. sneaking up on the dang turkeys! One of them reared up and The Hunter was like eff this and took off. Good cat.
Its neat when people make little outdoor play pens for house cats. So they can be safe and still enjoy some fresh air.
But your babies are absolutely happy. Even if Cutie is sometimes a butt lol
Lol true i may make an outdoor playpen for them if I’m gardening i think they would enjoy that.
Man, my cat had kittens and the first time we let them outside, they seemed scared. within a week they were doing everything they could to get outside and go on rampages. I’m sure house cats can live happy lives but to me, forcing a cat to live indoors is like forcing an artist to only fingerpaint. Sure there might be some good to come but lets face it, they want to see more.
Cuties just “I must judge the common people” watching neighbors go by lol
Eh to a point. As an artist that is struggling with mental illness, i can say if i was able to even finger paint rn that would nice lol
I get your point though but it’s ultimately up to the cat. I try to get em outside and both are leash trained. They just like being inside.
It has been cold though.
i can totally see that, ive seen cats get sassy with black bears and alligators via yt vids. Heck you can even see this with cats vs dogs. My old border colly almost feared my cats because every time he got within their bubble the claws came out. Luckily as the years went on they became friends. I remember a few times coming home to seeing my dog and cat snuggling with each other in the yard until someone saw them and they’d pretend nothing happened
“My cats are indoor cats, simply because my neighborhood is not safe for them. We have wild dogs, raccoons, and cat haters. They live longer inside, in this area.”
who are you quoting?
also yeah i can see why its not a viable thing in all areas. At least in my area it was alright, as the wild animals knew better than to hang out in the neighborhood. Its just my opinion that cats should be allowed to roam free because thats where they are happiest from my observations.
Oh my gosh that is such a cute little kitten!
What a sweet looking little void.
Oh that’s just how Cyndi talks.
“Up until I moved here, they were all indoor/outdoor cats. At one time I had over 25 cats. I don’t believe in collars either. My oldest cat lived to be 25+ Human Years. I have one now, that is 13 Human Years. Indoor or outdoor, I have very healthy, and happy, cats.”
/grin
Void Cats are the best cats
He’s so sweet!
