[HARDCORE] Unbroken Self Found Champion disappearing after logging out

Can we please get a fix on this? I haven’t slept in over a month…

I just want to be able to play the game.

Day 22 asking for Unbroken Self-Found Champion to be fixed in Hardcore. Since SoD P4, upon logout the soul of iron “achievement” goes away, regardless of if you remove the main SF feature or not. It’s been 46 days.

Made a ticket for this. GM said the Dev’s are aware of this issue and are working on it.

This is a known issue. We pushed a fix earlier this week, but it’s not resolving itself automatically for some reason. However, if you speak to an Apprentice Watcher in Orgrimmar, Undercity, or Ironforge and remove and then re-add the Soul of Iron buff by going through the “What do my stories tell?” option, that should clear it up and pick up the fix.

Edit: In theory, if you choose the option to remove self-found after reaching level 60, this shouldn’t matter; you’re still flagged as reaching level 60 as self-found. However, as Azeroth mentioned below, it’s probably safest not to select that option.

This worked for me!
Both my characters that hit 60 after latest SoD patch now show the updated flavor text after dropping and re-applying Soul of Iron buff.
One character has SF buff retained at 60, the other I dropped it shortly after hitting 60.

If you still want to keep the Self Found buff, be very careful selecting the correct conversation option when speaking to the Apprentice Watcher.
