Do your teammates have about the same level gear as you? If so, I think it’ll be a great accomplishment if/when you break 1800 in 3s. I’m rooting for you, but I’ll also be curious to hear if your perspective changes as you approach 1800 and you face more 220/226 geared players.

My MW friend is 220 because he runs RBGs. We have qd on and off with each other for a while now but this season more so since nobody wants to play with a MW in arena ATM. Granted I don’t consider 1800 an accomplishment for myself as i’ve been in the Duelist range in 3s before but that was also prior to my playtime being reduced signifcantly due to work.
The two boomy players i’ve been paying with are around my gear though. Maybe the luck we are having is because peple dont see DK / Boomy combos much and don’t react well enough to the beam -> grip -> stun -> convoke combos but i’m also not going to complain since it is fun.
This might be the most unrealized truth on these forums.

IDK why you’re bringing up peaking and what not when you can see that I’m full 226 gear lmao. Getting the rating isn’t and hasn’t ever been an issue for me, I just think it’s a dumb and bad system in a competitive environment. I don’t expect you to actually look into anything though. B)
Who cares if they are right, wrong, bad, bitter, or hardstuck. Solo Q should be in the game and doesn’t hurt current gameplay.
And carries are smurfing. The reward thresholds were set with less smurfing going on, so either adjust the thresholds or do something about smurfing. Chess is the gold standard for elo rated competition and smurfing is prevented.

I just picked up a random healer and played 2s for an hour or so. Went from 1830 to 1950. Fought one carry.
(2s is still boring and nobody cares about it, this was simply for science)
I don’t think that one game affected my sesh and tbh I would’ve killed the windwalker if my pug hpala cleansed my fear instead of pressing judgement when the ww was at 10%.

If the gear is really an issue like you claim hop into myth keys 
The game is complete and utter garbage. There is next to no counterplay for rogue/mage with nearly unlimited slows and outs for everything. Rogue can vanish and incredible amount of times, mage has 100k shield every 10s.

hard fax include that this is one of the largest ilvl gaps in pvp gear in the game’s history, the median rating for 3s is 1400, and this expansion was rushed in an awkward year for game development due to pandemic so theres no reason to expect pvp was given any careful attention
also the matchmaking system and lfg is dated

i dont arena this season, i do rbgs. much more fun. median rating is also 1600 for that btw
unless i’m horrificly mistaken the median is always around 1400-1600 because like 99% of wow community clicks so it skews things
check the cutoffs on arenamate for the top .1% and compare them to last seasons, should give you an idea of median rating differences. for bfa s1 the cutoff was 3k, its 2800 atm last i checked
High end is really inflated low end is really deflated. The 3k crowd will always be 3k because wow is literally their job. I’m always a 2-2.2k and call it good player and I’m hovering 1900-2k using lfg as a D - C tier spec so it’s about right…
And I want to repeat. You should be punished with gear for fotm rerolling
The difference between me and the rest of the low rated crowd is I know that I’d need to significantly improve to push higher and I know I’m not going to make that effort. The rest of the 1200-2k players think they’re entitled to higher rating and constantly blame the system. Doesn’t matter the season they will find something to cry about. It’s a mental illness
People cried that mop was terrible, then they cried with wod, then they cried about legion templates then they cried about bfa (this was justified) then they cried that you gotta pve to pvp and uno reversed it to crying about having to pvp for pvp gear. It’s unhealthy to be so far into denial that your mindset is to just blame the system and not yourself

idk who you are seeing but i just want some smaller ilvl gaps or ilvl in matchmaking bro. idc about being bad, i just think our systems is dated compared to other competitive games with matchmaking

You can run mythic dungeons for 220 gear
