I’ve seen quite a few NAXX 25 skip GDKP runs where they Hard Reserve one of the high end and high demand items for an unusually small amount of gold (often 5k or less). That one item, if it drops, will probably go for far more than 5k under normal circumstances and comprise the grand majority of the cut. Basically, you are asking us to pay you several hundred or even a thousand or more gold in opportunity costs so you can get an item at a fixed price without competition. I’m sorry, but less than 200g isn’t worth it so you can get a cheap turning tide while the rest of us need to bid heavily for our items for your benefit. Because you know these douchers are taking several cuts even though they reserved an item for an insultingly low price.
GDKP is transactional in nature. If you don’t have the gold to put up, don’t make one if you really want the item. You are costing everyone else gold and lining your own pockets. Only the worst kind of trash Hard Reserves for a token amount of gold in a DKP. Hard reserving in SR or MS/OS situations is completely different in nature as people aren’t being forced to expend their gold in order to get their items. Fine, go ahead and HR. I will get to roll for free if my stuff drops and you don’t get a cut. Makes sense.
Good point. GDKP isn’t some commie charity. If I’m putting up cash, I expect you to pay up as well. I’m not there so welfare Wendy can grab a 20k item for next to nothing. Drop that green or gtfo.

Esp for GDKPS there is TONS of them. If one GDKP is being greedy go join a different one. When they cant get people there rules will change if they are getting people what they are doing is CORRECT for them. As for them there not about maximizing YOUR gains there about maximizing THEIRS. This is human nature. While yes in order to truly maximize your own gains you need to take into account the gains of others giving others more than you need to is EXACTLY what you DONT want. This is basic marketing.
Don’t like others getting to maximize there own gains at your expense do the work yourself and maximize your own gains.
There should never ever be a HR in GDKP except for legendaries in which they were publicly bid in the discord.
Makes sense for super high items to bid before the run, because youll make far more doing t hat then only bringing the 2-3 classes that actually have good gold to bid on it.
