Hard Core Confirmed | RDF vs HC Social Experiment

They don’t even have an actual opinion if they want to be taken seriously they can post on main.

It wasn’t lol, just your typical forum nonsense. Mike Ybarra made a tweet that just said “Hardcore mode in Classic - thoughts?” and people kinda ran with it. It’s a decent indication they’re look at it, but a world away from the “official confirmation” people are claiming.

ActiBlizz doesn’t care. People are paying for gold and bots pay for subs. Blizz wants Classic to fail.

I don’t really understand this rule either, or a lot of the rules for that matter. Ultimately it’s a personal challenge and is “Get a character to level 60 without dying.” All of these other rules layered on seem like attempts to make it a competitive mode or level the playing field, when like, who cares? Getting to 60 without dying is the achievement. If you do it in a harder way than I did, great, that’s awesome for you, but beyond that who cares?

This is why I like Blizzard’s implementation (at least, as it was on SoM). You can do whatever you want, but if you die, your character is marked accordingly.

If you wanted to make a rule against grouping, you’d think it would only apply to grouping with people outside your level range. Oh well, human’s gonna human I guess.

So yes? You’re down to duel Bearhands?

1v1. Best of three.

I can’t hear you. You’ve accomplished nothing in this game as far as I can tell. You can’t even post on a max level character for Wrath.

Who. Are. You?

I don’t know how to make this anymore clear.

I see we never passed reading comprehension.

Please tell me you aren’t going to white knight for the guy legit being racist in the thread because someone was “mean to a mean person online”?

Muffled accepts the duel vs. Bearhands.

Bearhands do you accept the duel vs Muffled?

You lose, bye

You’re posting a tutorial to argue against me saying you don’t have an opinion? Boy you sure showed me. Post on main if you want to be taken seriously. I wanna see those welfare epics on ya.

Neither does RDF. the one thing all anti rdfers hate to admit. You NEVER had to use it.

Thats why you play the game, not all of us. I don’t like Vanilla, not at all. But I do like a challenge and HC is actually quite challenging.

All this talk about being social and grouping and meeting your BFF is just boomer talk. Let people play how they want to play.

Not challenging at all. Just go slow and follow a guide. Easy mode.

why do you want this. Do you think the person you are talking to will change? You do realize you are talking to a person and not a character right? lol… post on your character durrrrrrr…

I can’t wait for these walls of text I am not gonna read from these sock puppets.

Come on boys I see you chugging way. GO GO GO GO.

I think stuff like the achievements for like “60 as a hunter without dying or using a pet” are kinda silly… but the core ruleset really enhances the mode imo. If people could group then the safest way to do anything would be join a big group and steam-roll it. When you have to solo most things, it adds a much greater sense of danger.

And not being able to use the AH makes everything else that much more important. Green drops actually matter. Your professions actually matter, including even secondaries like fishing. People might travel across 2 zones to find a merchant who can sell decent green items.

And the one unique instance per run makes it almost rogue-like. Some runs you hit great weapons early on and it carries you. Some runs you don’t and have to adjust. It makes running those instances impactful and exciting.

Which is actually one of the big potential hurdles for an official HC classic. No one knows what ruleset Blizz will adopt, and almost inevitably it’ll be one that leaves the majority unhappy in one way or another.

Who is being racist? Certainly not me
