Happy for Dracthyr Dynamic Flight—Means Blizzard Will Never Add Perma Visage

Very satisfied Blizzard will never add permanent Visage form, Glyphs or any of that nonsense.

Blizzard will never go so rock bottom low—like some of ya’ll want—to allow human flapping their arms and fly like dragons.

Instead, I’d like all available time allocated to adding more armor variants at the Barber Shop. More wing customization. BIGGER wings. Armor on wings, like Deathwing himself.

All in all, glad Blizzard is listening and not wasting time on nonsense.

It doesn’t mean that at all?

If we ever got permanent Visage, I assume the way it would function is that certain moves (e.g. Soar, Deep Breath) would transform you for their duration.

Hope we get one tho, id love to have access to the spells and class

I think its silly to want perma visage form. If you ask me, requiring dragon form is no different than playing druids which have to transform into their respective spec forms in combat and to do their abilities; on the other hand, Msdoubtfire’s comment does sound like a nice thing to give the options to players who really want it i guess.

And i agree; more armor customization for dragon form would be better imo

How about a better racial? I know the one that is there turns you into the visage after combat, but what if it did it anytime you were not using an evoker-rigged ability? Like breath/soar/deep breath. Basically, you would have 100% visage uptime except when you proc very specific abilities and then pop back into visage when you are not. Personally, I think this is a happy medium.

I could even do with the visage customization on normal human aswell. All the bling blings. Being evoker would be a great bonus on top of it tho.

Sure, but you can look at boomy and being able to glyph into being able to see your model rather than boomy. There are options available.

There are only 2 things I’ve wanted from Dracthyr ever since they were added. One of them it’s finally being added next patch. True dragonriding Soar. And the other one is a tank.

Waiting hopefully that they get class expansion before TWW.

So you’re happy there’s not more customization options nor abilities to allow for such?

Imagine being so that you’re happy for less… What a sad state of being.

They may not do this, but the fact that you think adding dynamic flight being added has anything to do with it is hilariously dumb.

Literally zero correlation or connection whatsoever, just trying to grab attention with some clickbait hot takes.

“Guys, my boss brought me a bacon egg and cheese this morning-- this means he’ll probably NEVER buy us pizza!”

I don’t want or care if we ever get visage permanently because I’d rather the time be spent on actual gameplay/spec design, but let’s not pretend this has any connection whatsoever.

I would be ok with no perma visage if Blizz started working on fixing the character model to make it like something other than an abnormal giant lizard with an abnormal walking animation.

I don’t see feral and guardians druid being sad because they cannot fight in human form. Why?. Because the whole purpose of the specs are playing as a bear or as a cat.

The whole purpose of the evoker is fighting as a dragon, using your wings, claws, dragon breath. Why would you play the dragon themed class if you don’t wanna look like a dragon?

Besides there are other ways they can add more customization options; they can add more skin colors, new barbershop armors, more unique patterns, allowing more armors to be visible on dragon form like gloves, certain helms that don’t cover the face like the TP hoods/scarfs, their concept art even show that some of the original customization options even involved hair styles. Giving them scars like Nutraal or glowy energy effects like P1 Sarkareth. Just allowing them to be more classes say, warrior, would unlock plate armor for them wich shoulders and belts would look amazing with their current selection of plate looking gear.

There are many ways to add customization to a race that don’t require going outside of what the class it’s supposed to be.

I want Glyphs in general to change spell colors and stuff.

That said, I don’t see the correlation aside from wishful thinking. While adding more things for Dracthyr customizing would be nice obviously, this probably didn’t require a lot of development time to just extend soar to be normal dragonriding.

Half-dragon like half-races are in DnD, mostly immersion and preference purposes. Some people just find dragon aspect theme really attractive, but don’t want to have their character to be lizard all the time. People are coming up with toys to circumvent around this. It shouldn’t be a surprise either with how many people like to play as a human or a belf and at the same time I don’t question why someone would want to be 24/7 lizard. I might joke about it though. It’s a shame that they’re not dealing with this problem, only the whining from the people like me

Arguments with worgen and druids aren’t that 1:1 to dracthyr. You’re able to make let’s say a human hunter and roleplay as a worgen to an extent, but you’re not able to be half-dragon customisation wise that is represented in dracthyr visage. I think, but don’t know, that many people wanting visage form to be permanent would gladly accept the dragon-ish customisations on their human / belf races and be some other class. On the topic of druids, it makes more sense to be forced into a cat/bear, because the attacks are physical and they’re using their claws. Magic doesn’t have this limitation as we’re speaking of illusionary form already. Anything is possible with that premise.

EDIT: Make permanent visage reality. It would revitalize the amount of people playing as dracthyr as they seem to be bleeding out.

I believe the reason they are bleeding up right now its not because of lack of customization, yes it might partly be the reason but the main reason is because people is getting tired of Evoker. Devastation is in a bad spot, so it’s preservation. And not everyone enjoy playing augmentation but nearly everyone expect you to play one in pugs.

If only Blizz allowed the race to be other classes, warrior, hunter, rogue, mage, paladin.

All the animations for those classes are allready in the game. Just imagine how many people wouldn’t love to be a frontliner dragon knight, a winged hunter with a bow, A light wielding lizard, or a sneaky and cunning dragon who appears from the shadows.

That’s fine. I’ll use the morph to turn to a tauren and swim through the air in protest every chance I get.

Ret-hard Alert, Ret --hard Alrt!!!

Because many who when not in combat want to as a druid be a race they find athletically pleasing, rather than being forced into two that they don’t.

It offers more customization. I play tauren druid because I like the mogs on tauren. I don’t see it in combat but when I’m not fighting I don’t stay in my druid forms all the time…?

Kind of a silly point, more customization is always good especially when the choice of a visage is as vast as individual representation and diversity.

Tremendously bad and incorrect take, nobody’s asking to use soar in visage form. Asking to use spells that don’t require literally exhaling fire and flying around to be practical and usable in the visage. That’s the crux of the argument.

Not sure why people are defending the prospect of the new class and the models with the most customization to never be visible in combat. Weird call.

Let people ask for it on the forums, it’s never going to happen anyway. Blizz has already stated they specifically made the animations for dracthyr, which is why no other race will ever be able to play as an evoker.
