Hammer of Wrath

HoW getting nuked as a stand alone ability blows. Its one of the iconic abilities paladins have had since 2004.id really like to see it back, the way its done now is really clunky and odd.

I still find myself hitting the hot key at the usual time it would proc or at below 20% health on mobs. I can’t even bind another spell to it’s empty key slot for fear of using it out of habit. Horrid decision by the devs to bake it in and replace judgement in AW.

Yeah i do too. Its like take execution from warriors… (tbh havent played a war yet, thye mightve done that too lol)

It reaaally sucks not having an execute..

It’s really not.

HoW hasn’t been an execute for like 14 years.

Fusing it with Judgement is the best move they could have done for both abilities to make them identity rich.

I’ve missed a lot of kills not having my ranged HoW when everything else is on CD or hits for a noodle

I dont mind the combo but maybe have judgment turn to HoW at low health too? Wtf is the point of having the 2 points for increases dmg based on health missing if I can’t f’n use it on low health targets if my wings aren’t off CD.

Oh and also I’ve been getting a bug consistently where AW DOESNT change judgement to HoW… Posted it on bug forums 1 person responded and didnt even get what i was saying

Also wtf happened to inquisitors ire. It legit was there on my buffs just a different icon giving the same bonus just not in the talent tree. Was like a reddish fire icon almost 2 days later I log back on no more Inquisitors ire buff

It should do that for sure.

It’s gone.
If you get the buff on your bars it’s very much a bug.

I absolutely hated HoJ. It just took up bar space for a “You must press this button when it lights up” and was neither a good execute nor was fun to press as a holy paladin.

The amount of buttons ret and holy have now feel perfect. You still get the “notice they go below % HP” to start pressing judgement, so decision making stays button goes. It’s actually brilliant.

Its not HoJ….

Is ED an isolated RP server still? God i hope they chang that if it still is, the more non-ED folks that shard into ur server the better, it would be brilliant in my opinion, makes ppl from different realms come together and play together.

It wwlas there day 1 lol was cool then it went away… made DS do some good dmg even in pvp 30% pvp 50% pve

But I am getting the AW bug quite a bit its not turning judgement to HoW this losing dmg AND shake the heavens extensions

But we need HoW back for an execute when chars are at low health and im on CD and can’t use HoW outside of wings they get away like 70% of the time (talking PvP arena…)

DS is doing the damage it use to do with Ire baseline now.

DS was 128% AP and Ire made it 192%

Current DS is 192% now.

I don’t know how you interpreted what I said but HoW doesn’t currently appear at 20% health on ennemies and is not meant to.

The tooltip doesn’t say it does.
So it’s not a bug.

What I was saying was that Blizzard should give that condition back to HoW.

Are you not getting HoW in wings? Is that what you’re saying?

Yeah im saying during wings its not always proccing judgement to HoW

Made a thread about it person thought the same thing you did then the thread died… just made a new one bc I can’t double post bump my old one

And yes HoW should oroc on 20% like it used to. Ik ots not a bug its blizzard being r-tarded per usual

The hammer of wrath bug seems to almost exclusively happen when someone dies and you get the proc wings. It kind of reminds me of the sun’s avatar bug last season where the buff that made it last for a couple seconds after wings, would remove it once it ended regardless of if you were in wings again.

Also, I’ve encountered a bug with divine resonance where sometimes hammer of wrath doesn’t consume the proc. Once wings ends and HoW turns into judgment again, it consumes the procs as normal. Only encountered this bug while running Templar, and I don’t know how to replicate it

yeah no idea how to replicate it, it just happens. its possible what you say is true for my bug, Im pretty sure i’ve only noticed it in BG’s not on a dummy. Not 100% positive though

Only solutions I found for this is to put Judgement on your bar twice, one where it normally is and the second where Hammer of Wrath was.

Honestly I don’t like this merging two spells into one. I liked getting the occasional free HoW usable on a target regardless of health. Alway felt like it broke up the rotation a bit and that was a good thing.

On the topic of them merging things, I don’t like how they merged Divine Protection and Shield of Vengeance into one either. It feels weird pressing Divine Protection to get Shield of Vengeance.

Another bug is when you have wings up and you divine toll with divine resonance talented, your hammer of wraths not always proc the second cast from resonance. You get the buff but hammer of wraths dont consume resinance charges until it goes back to judgement and then it consumes.

It doesnt always happen, but Ive managed to get it plenty of times now. I tried using the HoW from wings before using dt, Ive tried having judge on cd before wings. It just happens like 3-4 out of 10 and its annoying.

I really never understood the issue with it.

I very much enjoyed having the choice of staggering my defenses vs 1 and done button… was it really THAT hard to press 2 of them to double wall? Depending on how the opener went and positioning and healer status in arena I would chose stagger or double

I noticed that last night doing manaforge omega run with my guild… was like uhhhh thats going to be an issue especially in PvP where I am relying heavily on those double judgement DT and mastery procs to all go off very quickly

I did too, I don’t like they merged those either, it’s just Blizz doing what they did in WoD, pruning too much then they will say that they did go a little too far with it, undo some of the changes and players will talk about how Blizz is listening to feedback and how great they are.
