Thats ignoring the fact that blizzard is doing more race options as customization options rather then making a whole new race

Even if you just view them as velfs doesnt mean blizzard havent just made it so you can make a high elf using velf customization options and called it a day

I’ve always thought having mixed-race characters would be cool. I imagine since Elves and Humans can have kids then Trolls could probably be with either of them as well seeing as trolls and elves are related.
I can’t see it really happening sadly, would take a lot of work, you’d have to make a combo for like, every race. Although even then I doubt every playable race is even compatible. Probably just something to stick to roleplaying.
Mixed-Race would work a lot better than Half-Blood/Half-Breed, those just sound kinda mean.
Mudblood was pretty much used as a slur within Harry Potter, that would be a terrible choice. They call half wizards “Mud Blood” because they supposedly have “muddy/diluted” blood and are lesser wizards, it is a harsh insult.

Half dreanei also has a population, but the lore on them kinda fell off the face of the planet after the 2nd war.

You dont have to agree but thats how blizzard is doing some race options lately by making them just cosemetic skins.
Thats my point in regards to why i dont think they will do high elves as an actual race. Unless they make belfs neutral so you can play them as alliance and horde factions with the alliance ones being specifically the high elves
