Hair of color blonde and brown for the Void Elves please

What?

Night Elves have always been purple.

The highborne who rebelled (I use that term very broadly in this case) and traveled to the EK didn’t change their skintones until some time after their landing on the EK’s shores.

They also shrunk in stature.

I guess that bits right…

Some became Naga or Saytr… Some closed themselves off like the Shen’dralar… Some closed themselves off and built a very powerful nightwell like the Nightborne… And yeah… Some became the high elves (later blood elves).

Also you do know that void elves were all blood elves (excepting Alleria) ?

There isn’t anything in lore that actually says the wayfarers or scholars are becoming void elves. It’s a fan theory based on them coming to learn… But that’s as far as we can go there…

(RP what you want though.)

Historically, the high elves didn’t enjoy being in the Alliance. After the second war their country pulled out of the Alliance, and after the fall of Quel’thalas to the Scourge their attempt to assist their neighbors led to them being victims of attempted genocide…

Part of that has a lot to do with what happened from Garithos onwards… Even in the BE starting zone we see the Alliance being… Well jerks to them. While the Forsaken offered aid and sponsered the blood elves in the Horde… Giving them a strong ally close to home.

And any fool can see the new horde isn’t the old one.

i would add themes like farstrider aesthetic too

even tho blood elves should have blue, in a hearbelt i would give them back to make our skin tones exclusive again!

Fen, you and me both should know at this point that if people actually paid attention to the unlocking scenario, and by “paid attention” I mean, at the very least seeing what was happening in the screen during that scenario, many arguments would fall apart like a popsicle in the Argentinian summer and they’d realize that even making them would be pointless.

First I love J.Lo, so just want to add that first.

Second I support this fully. :yum: :yum: :yum:

And third, I totally agree we should have blue eyes like we do because we are the High Elves but I mainly said that earlier because they were advocating that we should only have green eyes on Blood Elves and for whatever reason which there wasn’t one like one they should only have blue eyes on Void Elves which really bothered me given Void Elves are twice removed High Elves and void tainted.

they want normal black hair but they pick the void corrupted elf where one of their main features is hair reflecting that corruption and then insist on getting normal hair(which would ruin what little void aesthetic that remains after the normal skin tones) instead of playing a blood elf which has everything they want

I think they claim their not that invested in this whole dilemma, but in another thread were saying the same thing.

The talking points that they manage to bring up somehow manage to both be extremely Pro HE (as in straight talking points out of some HE fan video) as well as very anti BE, which both things are odd for someone who claims

But you’re bringing up talking points from like 2007 from people who have always hated the organic narrative of BEs going Horde? Seems odd to me.

Blood Elves were actually introduced as a Horde race in 2005

Yeah, I honestly don’t get it either, that’s why I ended up being classified an anti though because I kept saying that the options to play what they want are already there on Blood Elves just not on the faction they prefer and they always get mad at me. Lol. :yum: :yum: :yum:

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll go back and edit it dearie. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Ah, the classic tsundere poster.

Is not like I care about the topic or anything, b-baka!

I just wish they were more honest with the whole “asian market!” argument. Not only a lot of Staats’ recollection it’s very anecdotal, but also, just because a decision happened to meet a business goal, doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a sotry driven motive behind it.

Not to mention that I’ve used to watch this very old series of animated videos of the adventures of this Tauren and his group of another tauren, a forsaken, and a troll which was very popular, and it was chinese. So to say that the “ugly races” weren’t popular there, seems fishy to me.

I kinda wonder about the “it was just to give the Chinese a pretty race” argument…

It really isn’t important to anything here about customizations and isn’t going to be randomly changed… So what’s the point?

The lore we have now is what we have. The blood elves and Quel’thalas went Horde.

Those that retained the name high elf mostly broke apart into multiple separate factions.

The only large one of which is Alliance(SC), but also beholden to a neutral power.

Now we have Void Elves.

These are things that happened… Why do we care if blizzard wanted to balance factions or please another country…?

I guess they just really want to find any excuse to tell themselves how wrong the decision was simply because they didn’t like it.

Is either that or talking about how “The Horde doesn’t really want blood elves”.

Also, for context, this is the cartoon I was talking about. “I’m MT (Main Tank)”. I don’t remember seeing a blood elf in this series until much, much later on.

Seems strange for a demographic that needed blood elves to play Horde, doesn’t it?

(Also, forgot there’s an orc there too)

EDIT: Added a version that has better quality but requires CC on.

wow they dropped that again?

jeff kaplan already said why

blood elves pretty much joined the horde in a similar fashion as the nightborne who had a connection with the blood elves and their affinity to magic. blood elves and the forsaken led by sylvanas were their old allies literally and shared a hatred for arthas

Oh no you are using logic, I see much drama and hate coming your way soon.

Edit - sorry, lol but I had to say it. :joy: :joy: :joy:

Lannisterian, my friend. You have already lost this debate.

  • VE were HE.
  • VE are Alliance
  • Alliance have HE

It’s science.

It’s a direct quote from the CEO of Blizzard at the time. They needed a “pretty” race for the Horde to attract the Asian market.

Silver Covenant, the Windrunner sisters (apart from Mary Suevanis). There are mutiple examples of HE associated with the Alliance. The BE look down on them. – in some book, somewhere

Were.

Blood elves are high elves.

Void elves were blood elves.

They literally bleed a different color of blood…

World of Warcraft became playable in China June 7th 2005
Blood Elves were introduced as a Horde race at end of October 2005
So we have less then a five month difference. Seeing as how they already had concept art for them along with some of Silvermoon already created. I feel personally they had been in the works for a few months as a Horde race. Given this my diagnosis is the whole Chinese pretty race is just some BS. They might of done a poll but it was most likely long after Horde was given Blood Elves.

Can you at least try to make your bait a little less obvious?

I was listing two options for how physical changes occur, neither of which are shown to even happen with the light which is why I said they don’t make sense. You of course, chose to take things out of context and put words into my mouth.

I’m not contradicting anything. The void infusion didn’t change them into a new race, and like I’ve said several times the last time this was brought up, only minor changes occured. Growing tentacles and skin changing color doesn’t equate to you being a different species/race. Additional, your tentacle hair argument is entirely worthless given that not all hair styles have them to begin with.

Also, to clarify why I said light tentacles don’t make sense further. On top of it not happening for Lightforged when infused with the Light, and with the Blood Elves that used to consume/drain the Light directly from Naaru, tentacles aren’t part of the Light aesthetic. Runes and crystals are.

I have literally no idea what you’re trying to say here, I’m just going to assume it’s pure gibberish. I wasn’t lying when I said it’s been brought up before to copy the lightforged runes and tattoos to the blood elves. And I wasn’t lying either that the blood elf regulars in these threads declined that offer.

Except there’d be nothing to support that addition, whereas there are things to support void elves getting the blood elf hair styles and hair colors.

Let’s also keep in mind that magic infusion doesn’t have the same effects for each person. Take both Demon Hunters and Death Knights for example. You can right now make a demon hunter and death knight that shows zero impacts of fel or death infusion other than just their eyes, so checkmate time to let Void Elves do the same since as I’ve expressed multiple times Void Elves would keep their existing eye options of blues and purples (although other colors to match the old gods would be welcome).
