Didn’t make me cry but Veritistrasz’s story at the overlook, and Sendrax having to kill the whelps before sacrificing herself for the egg were pretty sad.

There is not a single quest that made me feel any type of emotion. Everything is extremely basic.

All the intro quests and having to fly around in a cave made me cry. I finally felt better after I was able to stop that nonsense and just start running M+.
(Spoilers) I would say Saza’s death in the Winterpelt Furbolg questline was pretty sad. Another Sendrax-like character who seemed eager to be a good helpful friend, and their courage got them killed. May they rest in peace.
No because a story with all the impact of a 4th phase marvel movie doesn’t do anything for me.

Why was stories tied to renown and then by the time I got to those stories, I couldn’t be asked to do them. I get they wanted to timegate stuff but that is not how you keep a person invested in A story. Sad part is, most of the stuff ended up being pretty lame so gg Blizz.

The last good story line that made an emotional impact on me was that one in Hyjal back in cata with the elf and his daughter and how he becomes a boss in the Firelands raid. Frandral?
It was heart failure, but yes I remember.
Blood elf paladin. He passed 2 days after DF release.

Mhm. I do kinda wish that quest where you chill with him had voice acting. But it was still a nice breather quest.

Not full on cry, but Veritistrasz’s story definitely gut me rather unexpectedly. I still think it’s some of the most poignant side quest writing we’ve gotten in DF.
I have had a few moments in the Reach and Zaralek that got me, too. And the blue Dragonflight remnants answering Kalec’s call got me a bit - especially since Legion is such a fond expansion story for me.

No but I don’t really pay attention to the story.
Happy Duck tugged at my heartstrings, there’s also “The Joy of Painting” quest chain in the Azure Span, that one hit me unexpectedly.

WHo only tell told they left a hostile army, bad villains on ice as it were with world ending plots unchecked for 1000’s of years…till like now.
Personally I’d have that after cata. As the aspects go to us…
