We know everyone has been enjoying story circle. All of you awesome people are proof of it! Those who browse the forums and keep an eye on our server from here as well...you social bugs (I ...kinda stink at it LOL).. When you see someone coming to hang out in Bloodhoof that is not of our faction, ignore them if they are killing NPCs. No PvP at Story Circle has been a rule since the days of old, before Wolfmane took the mantle of Story Circle -- to not respond to trolls. Easiest way is to screen shot if they are in a guild and send the information to the guild leads of the person trying to grief roleplay.
:)
I know I am someone who enjoys world PvP from time to time. Sadly PvP is disruptive to Story Circle.
It is not very fair to the story tellers who come to share their stories when five or more people suddenly get up in the middle of a story and run to fight. It is rude to them. Engaging also encourages the pvp to continue. The aggressors calls their friends causing a skirmish to become a battle. On top of it all, it is very distracting with all the action and noise happening.
These are the reasons that we ask those in attendence to please ignore any pvp or griefing that takes place. It is not that we dislike or disapprove of world pvp but because it is disruptive to our event.

Exactly as Zanghif and Raton said! I myself love PVP, it's one of my favorite aspects of the game, but even if you think that you are doing a good thing by killing a PVP-flagged griefer, it can still very much distract from the story and discourage the storyteller when they see people rushing off to go fight! Best thing to do when faced with a troll? Screenshot, report, ignore. <3
By the way, as a quick announcement, Wolfmane will be opening recruitment on February 23rd! So this Friday. :)

Back in the Wrath days of Story Circle we used to run a protection ring for it. Anytime somebody came a designated group of us would just quickly flag and draw their attention as far away from the story circle as possible. But over time this showed its flaws and ended up being a very poor way of dealing with it. Ignoring it really is the best method.
Still really glad to see you guys carrying the mantle, by the way. I still have a few ears to the ground and the Wolfmane Tribe is a solid guild. I used to show up to story circle all the time..I need to show up more.
May the Earth Mother guide your path. :D

Ooo! Is this gonna coincide with the Moo Moot? And should be contact in game or the Guild website? :3
About trolls at Story Circle- this might just be something odd on my end but when that Worgen showed up during Kyun's tale spouting "ALA ACKBAR", I actually reported him for cheating. He found a way to abuse the language divide so as to spam messages a cross faction. Unfortunately, in doing so, half my chat log vanished, which included half of Kyun's wonderful story about the Tauren Greatmother vs the Centaurs ;-;

Yeah, we've had others suggest trying that again and while in theory I do really like the idea, things rarely play out like you intend it, heh. XD Thank you! We'd love to see you at the Circle again sometime! :D

Only out of pure coincidence. We were having our latest monthly guild meeting and I asked, "When should we open up recruitment?" Someone just said that Friday so. XD We won't be advertising or anything though, especially at the moot. Because that is very rude, and Wolfmane never actively advertises anyway beyond our own personal spaces (this thread, our website, TRP3 profiles, ect). XD But you can contact us either way! We do require applications to be submitted on the website whenever you're ready, but if you have any questions or comments or anything, feel free to contact in whatever way you choose. :)
Sweat deal :3 I might send you an ingame mail if only cause timing as I'll be gone all that following Saturday and probably won't be able to stay at the moot too long. :3
That works fine! Whenever we're able to meet should work. :)
I'll be posting a newcomer guide on the guild's website tonight! Major thanks to the wonderful ladies Mahanoke and Narangali for writing it up for us. <3 It will go through just about everything you need to know about joining and progressing in Wolfmane!

How much of your guilds time is spent IC ?
(( Hi guys, the guild seems a lot like what I am looking for for the background of Hansem here. I have a lot of RP experience from tabletop to Videogaming, and my writing skills are not bad as I have been dming D&D for 23 years.
However, I also love to play Wow, and thus was wondering are you doing any kind of progression raiding or BGs? Basically just trying to see if I am a good fit or not :)

Quite a bit actually. Roleplay is a daily occurrence.02/25/2018 11:40 PMPosted by TiamucuwitkuHow much of your guilds time is spent IC ?
No worries. We would rather players find a good fit for them rather than fill our roster. We are mainly a Roleplay guild but we do some raiding. Another guild invites us to raid with them and those interested do so. As for BGs, the guild does not do them together. A few members may but it is a rare thing.02/26/2018 07:47 AMPosted by Hansem(( Hi guys, the guild seems a lot like what I am looking for for the background of Hansem here. I am curious by what you mean by a background for your character. Were you wanting your character to be born into the tribe? Or an atmosphere of the game?
I meant mainly an atmosphere for the game when I am online. I have no problems spending a lot of time RPing but I also like to progress in game ( I am AOTC on all raids except Antorus this expansion ).
However, I find that playing a character without playing is meaningless, and RPing seriously gives me an attachment to my character that I do not get elsewhere, so it might be a good fit.
I could probably even be born into the tribe, I have not finished the full background of Hansem yet except the fact that he is a Rivermane because of their tie to shamanism and their peaceful nature

The Wolfmane has an extremely active discord. Joined up a little over a year ago and have put my primary focus on this guild because of the people and the friends I've made here. RP is abundant, as is doing PVE and PVP mostly on a casual basis, but some of us do raid, we are currently pushing Heroic Antorus with a multi-guild co-op by one of our members and another from an RP guild as the main tanks organizing us all.

This has been a month focused on community growth and building relationships with the new tribes that have been forming! With the Tauren Moot and the upcoming Dance of the Earthmother, we have reached out to quite a few new tribes and hope to help many of them grow and prosper! If you are a new tribe, I encourage you to reach out to your community, and help us grow it and make it even stronger!
Wolfmane has also reopened recruitment! If you're interested in the tribe, make sure to check out the website or ask an officer about the tribe! And if you want to join a tauren tribe but are not sure if Wolfmane is the right choice, still talk to us as we try our best to keep up to date with the various tribes so that we can direct people to the guild that is most suiting for them!
IC News
After finding an unlikely friend in the Wildhammer dwarves, Wolfmane felt a little more confident in this hostile land. However it wasn't too long before the orc Kel'ruk Dragonsbane came to us once more, demanding we amend the insult we had placed upon his clan by breaking the rules in their fighting pit. Though upset by this demand, we went to the village of the Dragonmaw and mucked their stables and acted as training dummies as they prepared for a grand hunt.
Thankfully the day of hard work has a pleasant end as we got to babysit the proto-drake whelplings before, at long last, being forgiven by the Dragonmaw. We had another ally in the Twilight Highlands.
Soon after, we decided to go and check in on the Wildhammer and ensure they were recovering well enough. And upon arrival, the Wildhammer requested we help cleanse some of the surrounding land. And so our seers tended to the land while the braves protected us, and after a time our friend from the Wildhammer approached us yet again, thanking us. And it was then that he revealed his true self -- a red dragon. His goal, he said, was to test us and our will and honor, so that we may aid him in another, greater task. Though many were uncertain and distrustful of him, we agreed to be at the ready. Though not without one final warning that we must keep our eyes toward the Dragonmaw's village.
And he was right, though perhaps not in the way Wolfmane had anticipated. Shortly after the Dragonmaw village came under attack by the corrupted proto-drakes they had set out to hunt, and the Wolfmane were called upon to assist. There we went to the defense of the orcs, sustaining many terrible injuries in the process -- but we won. We killed the corrupted proto-drakes, freeing them, and saved the Dragonmaw. Battered and burned, we returned to camp and took some much needed rest.
Not for long enough, however, as soon enough the red dragon returned, asking for his next favor. He wished for us to cleanse his home, and so we agreed, cleansing with fire and natural magicks. Impressed by the results, at last the dragon asked for the final favor, what he had been testing us for the entire time: He wished for us to cleanse his mother, who had been specifically targetted and corrupted by the Black Dawn.
She was in terrible condition, and when we started to tend to her terrible shadows came and attacked. We defeated the shadows, and after expending a great amount of energy we were, at least, able to cleanse the mother. Tearfully, she reunited with her children, and the dragons thanked us, wishing us luck for our future endeavors.
We know not where the Black Dawn resides still, but we know where to start. Next, we continue north...

Oh hey there's a Wolfmane thread. A really... really old Wolfmane thread.
I mean we're approaching three years old soon. That's like 50 in guild years, right?
*wanders in*I was told this was the dairy section?
It's wonderful to see it still going strong! Here's to three years and three more!
