I'd be willing to wager that a decent portion of the Alliance, Human, population would be more than happy to erase the Forsaken under the premise of putting fallen comrades, loved ones, etc. to rest.

I very much agree. I disagree with the idea that the average human farmer or soldier is able to find much compassion for unnatural abominations that kill civilians and raze entire towns.

The fact is that while Sylvanas does give the orders the ones who carry out them are the rank and file of the Forsaken. Not extremists or a select few and even if that were true, how would a normal person make the distinction?
