[H-RP, Monthly] Southfury Soup Night

It’s no April Fools Joke, the Southfury Watch Soup Night is back! Come join us at the classic Crossroads in the Barrens tomorrow April 2nd at 6pm Server Time to have a warm bowl of soup and meet some of the Watchers responsible for protecting the heartlands of the Horde!

The event will repeat every first Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise noted.

Please see below for a short IC and OOC description of the event:

The long-honored tradition of feeding those most in need outside city walls will continue as the Southfury Watch once again take up spoon and pot against hunger. The first Wednesday of each month, the Watch will set up their makeshift kitchen in the Crossroads to feed the community and those most in need and to foster unity and an appreciation of the savanna. Our services are free of charge to any denizen of the Barrens or any traveler.

Each month we gather in the Crossroads to serve soup and bread to the community. We see it as a chance to get out of Orgrimmar and stretch ones legs and aim for it to help to bring different types of RPers together out in a different setting. We also will be using the event as a sort of recruitment tool for the Watch should any opportunities arise from attendee interest!

Soup Options:

Savanna Vegetable and Spicy Kodo are the two defaults always served.

Special Soup of the Month: Turtle Gumbo

This post will be updated accordingly with any information that is applicable as needed.

Today is the day fine folks, the day where all are welcome to pull up some dirt and enjoy a crusty bread and warm bowl of soup.

Though with all these box toys, maybe the Horde’s lack of chairs is finally solved?

There’s actually a chair toy in game now. I think it’s C.H.A.I.R.

There’s also a couple of really cool cooking pots that I love.

Yup! Engineers can make it if you require:

Only problem is that it lasts only five minutes, so you have to awkwardly place it back down every now and then.

(It also looks extremely uncomfortable, but…Look. We’re engineers, not comfort experts.)

Hope the soup time event is fun!

My intent is to have soup tonight. However, this evening is when we might be having swirly weather… so I might not make it.

So excited to have Soup Night back! Already spreading the word!

That’s the one! I have one of those.

How long do crates last?

Crates are infinite. Somehow they are much more durable than chairs.

The one in Undermine can be grinded for pretty quickly, and it’s also six toys in one! Do recommend.

The holy Crate. But yes! This looks like a great event, and I’ll be sure to come by! Harun loves testing out new foods.

I want to thank everyone who came out for the grand return of Soup Night! It was great to see the Barrens so full of life again!

The next Soup Night will be Wednesday May 7th, we hope to see returning and new faces pulling up for a hot bowl of Barrens sourced soup!

Next Week the Soup will flow! Stay posted for the announcement of the monthly special joining our classic mainstays of Savanna Vegetable and Spicy Kodo.

May’s rotating flavor is:

Saltshark Ajiaco! A hearty seafood stew made with the starchy tubers harvested in the southern Barrens and the preserved sharkmeat fished up from the deep waters of Durotar and the Echo isles!

The Soup will soon flow and with it, the Southfury Watch. Because we go with the flow. Like soup. I like soup. I can’t wait to eat soup.

Does one eat soup or drink soup? Or some third verb?

The verb you are looking for is schlorp.

Oh boy it’s soup schlorp time

Hello all and if you can believe it, the first Wednesday of the month is here again next week!

The special for this June will be Merchant Coast Exchange, a refreshingly simistice marinated Pork and Bok Choy soup envisioned by our very own Watchmaster Tezel.

Come join us in the Crossroads under the Soup Tree at 6pm Server Time!
