[H-RP] Goblin Lore Expeditions!

Ever wanted to try something new (like a goblin), but you just don't have the background knowledge? Flashbang Exports' Goblin Lore Expeditions are here to help! These are stand-alone RP tutorials that will help you get your feet wet in playing a goblin, or just starting on Horde side in general.

Each month, we travel to a different goblin outpost. We take a tour of the buildings and the NPCs who are stationed there. We learn what each of them are about, and why they're there. We learn about which goblin cartels they represent, and how they make their moolah. We also do NPCs interviews, and sometimes this leads to uh, INTERESTING consequences.

The events are not connected via a continuous storyline. Each event is a fresh new start, so anyone can just turn up and jump right in! Although it is a monthly event, the time and day changes. Usually it will be on a Saturday around 8pm, but it could also be on a Friday. Sometimes I'll run it for Oceanic players so they can have some RP fun too. Just watch this thread for the next upcoming event.

GOBLIN LORE EXPEDITION: FUSELIGHT
When: Sat 30 June 5am - Moon Guard server time (CST)
Where: Fuselight, Badlands
What: This will be a goblin lore tutorial, where we meet the NPCs, and find out why they are in the Badlands. We'll also hear any backstories they have, and have a go at fixing their problems. A must for any new goblin wanting to find their place in the world of Azeroth! Non-goblins are also welcome.

Upcoming Goblin Lore Expedition!

HARDWRENCH HIDEAWAY
The Cape of Stranglethorn

When: Sat 13 October 8pm server time (CST)
Where: Hardwrench Hideaway, The Cape of Stranglethorn
(There is a flightpath directly to the outpost.)
Level: 35+ is recommended, but we will try to protect anyone lower!
What to bring: A gas mask. Due to fossil fuel combustion in the area, toxic fumes may be encountered.

We had a blast investigating the dubious work ethics at Hardwrench Hideaway! Great to see so many goblins coming out. I think the request for gas masks scared all the other races away. Not everyone got turned into zombies, just...a few.

EVERLOOK
Winterspring

When: Sat 10 Nov + Sat 17 Nov, 8pm server time (CST)
Where: Everlook, Winterspring
(There is a flightpath directly to the outpost.)
Level: 45+ is recommended, but we will try to protect anyone lower!
What to bring: Warm clothes. This place is icy! Maybe a gun.

Note: Normally these lore expeditions run for two hours. It seems a bit long for most people, so this month I'm going to split it into two parts. Come to either, or both!

I am running a goblin lore expedition to Everlook, Winterspring tonight!

Just a few FAQs:

Q: Can Alliance come to this event?
A: It's not a neutral event, no. Technically you could stand around and watch or listen, as it is a neutral town. However, the event's purpose is to promote knowledge about goblin lore, particularly those who are new to roleplaying goblins.

Q: Can other Horde races join in too?
A: Absolutely! As long as you don't dislike goblins. If you like their themes, and you like hanging out with goblins, then you're more than welcome to come along.

Q: I don't have a goblin on this server. Can I come cross-server?
A: Yes, of course. Just add me to battletag: Nexus#1943. The event starts at 8pm CST. You will need to send me a whisper in order to receive an invite. I have a lot to organise for the event, and I don't have time to be chasing people down.

Q: I want to come, but I might be running late. Is that okay?
A: Sure. I'll be aiming to keep the event as succinct as possible. I usually allow about 15 minutes for people to group up and arrive at the starting point. After that, the event will run for about an hour. So come if you can be there before 9pm. Otherwise, maybe wait till next time.

Our apologies to the organisers of the Feast of Seasons, if we caused any disruption to your event. As you can see, we planned our event several weeks ago, before the Feast of Seasons was advertized. I knew about the clash, but I didn’t think it would be a problem to have more than one group of RPers in the same village.
