[H-RP Event] Reforge Deathknell

An extra piece of parchment is nailed next to the ‘Ring of the Deathknell’ advertisement. You would notice a drawn picture of a forge with additions at the bottom of it. If it entices you to give the ad a read… “Brethren of the Horde, the Lordaeron reclamation venture (LRV) requests your input of expression in the latest project. The forge in Deathknell is being renovated for use in future endeavors. We will use the wood, stone, and other resources gathered from the area in past events, but you will get to leave your mark on it. Everything done to the forge will be a permanent fixture for the duration of the LVR, whether it be cosmetic or practical, come add your touch!”

((Saturday the 21st at 8pm server in the current Deathknell, WM off.

This event is sort of an experimental event because I’ve never hosted one like it, so that’s why I feel I should explain some of the details. First, players will roll 100 to decide order. Second, players choose which area of the forge to work in. The first 30 min of the event will be players writing up their emotes on what their character is decorating, furnishing, or reinforcing on or in the forge.

The building is not the only area of the forge players can work, there will be two additions to the building which will be described to them. This forum page and the Undercity United discord will be the places where I ask you to vote on which two out of the four addons that will be attached to the forge for the rest of the series.

The other parameter the players will work with is the types of resources. Iron, copper, tin, and a few local animal parts that were collected from the past Deathknell events. Players will use these for their creations.

After the allotted time, the first player will share and then the next and so on, until all have left their mark on the forge.))

Here are the four options to choose from. We only have enough resources to build two and not enough to build both stone or both wood structures at the same time. After subtracting the 100 stone and wood for repairs to the original structure, we have 501 stone and 228 wood left over from the previous Deathknell events. So, we can only have one wood and one stone based structure. Please respond here with your choices.

Of stone Basement & Tower

Basement 200S 75W: “Since the forge is built on a hill, we can easily install a basement. This will give a major increase in our storage capacity, but offer no offensive capabilities. However, by having some of it stick out of the hill facing the road, then there will be a moderate increase to defense.”

Tower 400S 25W: "The tower will be built on the north entrance of the forge commanding dominance over the entrance to Deathknell. The strength and size of this structure offers a moderate increase in offense, defense, and storage capacity.

Of wood Garage & Balcony

Garage 200W 100S: “The garage is the best addition for support of the caravans scheduled to come to Deathknell. Installed at the south entrance, It won’t offensive in the slightest. It allows for a moderate increase in storage capacity and a minor increase in defense by protecting docked wagons.”

Balcony 100W 25S: “By adding a balcony to the forge, we can have an extra space for a minor increase in storage capacity. It will give a minor increase in offense with it’s hight advantage for range units. However, being made of wood, it offers nothing for defense.”

After leaving the whispers of the anti-Sylvanas fool trying to foolishly undo the damage in Tirisfal, Symeont stops at the Sepulcher for a break.
Here in the village of many tombstones, he takes a gander at the message board. Unsurprisingly, he sees a new ad about the latest project in the reclamation venture. It was an interesting read, but he could not help, even if he wanted to.
Symeont is on a mission to Hillsbrad.
He seeks basic knowledge from there.
He needs the Royal Apothecary Society.

(( hey y’all, anyone can vote here, it’s not just for those coming to the event.

here is the link to the series. ))

I think your goal of reclaiming Brill will fail, if you accomplish nothing else, then your refurbishing of the forge will fall to disuse. After all, the Sepulcher will be the more likely hub of Forsaken activity.

(( We will keep the voting up until Thursday. The votes you give are not an admission to coming to the event, it’s just so I can decide what the scene will be for those players who do show up on Saturday. ))

((Tonight it closes.))

The modification of the Forge is complete. Tomorrow night we will finish the additions, furnishings, and enhancements of the forge components that were built. Once completed, the Lordaeron reclamation venture will have it’s solid foothold in Tirisfal established.

From there, while caravan shipments arrive on a regular basis, we will focus on constructing a tavern in the Sepulcher.

((Tonight at 8pm server. ))

The Lordaeron reclamation venture (LRV) has had an uncertain start, but it survives the rocky road. Not it’s time to set the foundation. Come to Deathknell tonight and help make it worth more than it’s stone.
