[H] [Memoriam Aeternam] New guild, Adaptable, Democratic and a fair loot system

Disclaimer:

Everything you read here, will be open to discussion and possibly change, nothing is completely set in stone, as long as the majority of people agree to it being a better alternative. This includes and isn’t limited to: loot system, who the guild leader in charge is, the leadership system, etc. really anything and everything at all. The most important thing to remember is, this guild will always aim to do what most people feel is best for them.

Fundamentals:

  • It will never be loot council. All loot council systems are corrupt to some degree or more, it is my firm belief, that this guild’s loot system should never go down that path.
  • All people and loot will always be treated as fairly as possible.
  • No decision that affects the whole guild will be easily made without being voted on by the leadership(see slide 5).
  • Everyone’s constructive opinions will be heard and welcomed, we should always be trying to improve.

Leadership Format:

The leadership will consist of three branches: guild leader, raid leader, and the “table”.

  • The guild leader: lays down the law, holds the bank, votes in guild matters count for ⅓ of the total.
  • The raid leader: he/she is the guild leader during raids, votes count for ⅓ as well.
  • The table: five members selected by votes from each member in guild above a certain rank, the position is based on a monthly rotation instead of permanent. Their combined vote counts for the last ⅓ .

Each guild wide decision shall be voted on by all three branches, and due to the format no branch will be able to dictate anything on its own.

Loot:

The basis of the loot system will be DKP, but in a very similar fashion to EP/GP, there will be: decay; class/spec priorities; a bonus(5-10%) to top performers in raid that week to encourage people to do their best. In order to prevent passing on non BiS gear and other forms of DKP hoarding, you are required to roll on items which are deemed an upgrade.(more fine tuning on this in the future)
We understand certain non class specific items are sought after by multiple classes, the decision will be based on which class the item will benefit the most. For example Perdition’s Blade, would be dagger rogues first, then Fury Prot warriors. There will be other cases where an item offers similar bonuses to all it is equippable by, such as Mana Igniting Cord for warlocks and mages, Vis’kag for rogues and warriors, the decision for these will be based on other alternatives available for the class as well as how long it is BiS for each class.
Recipes obtained from raids are a group effort, whoever ends up learning it should not charge a guildmate since the recipe belongs to the guild and not the individual, but feel free to profit with it outside the guild.
The guild bank will be open to everyone who contributed, it will be strictly for guild purposes: items that offer raid benefit such as Nightfall, purchasing BoE’s, and never for personal gain. Everything that comes in and goes out will be clearly reported on a monthly basis.

Expectations:

These apply to every member of the guild, no matter who you are.

  • Have common sense, be a decent person, and treat others with respect.
  • Be willing to improve. If you are not meeting expectations of DPS/HPS/Other capabilities(with your gear/experience/etc. taken into consideration), adequate resources and help as well as ample time will be given.
  • Value the time and efforts of other people, such as being prompt and knowing the fights before joining group, it would be unfair to everyone else involved to have someone unprepared causing deaths, wipes and other setbacks.
  • In order to raid(in the tryhard group, lower standards in the casual group of course), you should be pre-bis, some exceptions are allowed for items that have a low drop rate/hard to farm, as long as you’ve put in the effort. I believe classic content is easy enough, as long as you can play your character at a decent level, and execute relatively simple mechanics. You could even come in with PvP spec, but you’ll be expected to know everything about the fight and make minimal mistakes non-repeatedly. If you feel the need to parse personally, feel free to get all the buffs.

guild discord is on the first slide, you can also reach me on discord personally: wat#7551

What times do you plan to raid? My main problem is free time that doesn’t line up with most of the server’s guilds.
