Proc refunded a charge and gave you a damage buff. it also increased the cast time by 50%. it allowed a play style to keep chaining aimed/rapidfires and not needing to arcane shot, it also felt impactful outside of trueshot as youd get the 50% increased aimedshot every now an then. I do think the current design is better with BA being the selling point and then having effects like crows/hounds. (currently these do not work) leaving the only things doing damage in the tree is BA (now weaker than killshot after it has been constantly nerfed due to tuning done around a bug) and shadow surge which is overall decent passive damage that also deals some aoe.
Withering fire appears to be the root of all the problems, it does not work how it should and its interactions with razorfragments is also not working. there is also some proc issues with stuff like dark hounds (sims show this to be improved proc rate from 11.02, however it does not proc or do as much damage as it should in live vs sims).
Ebon bow string is another talent that just dont work how it should. you reset an gain deathblow, yet the arrow you fired to reset consumes the buff and you dont get the razorfragment damage amp or dot.
The rework is absolutly amazing on paper, however nothing functions how it should and its up to the company that is selling the product to make the product work. which currently they dont appear to be doing or making an effort to as its been 3 weeks and nothing has been done.

Iām glad youāre seeing what we mean. DR MM took a noticable nerf bat, even if unintended in the last few weeks. While Sentinel did look good for awhile on some sims, enemies that dont stand in your Sentinel AoE take no damage from it. DR enables you to put your hero talent DoTs and instant damage mostly into targets you choose. But unfortunately Blizzard keeps deciding DR needs to do less and less damage.

Maybe they are just waiting for MDI to be over so they can buff/fix DR MMā¦ Clearly canāt have a bug causing a range hunter to be viable in MDI. Maybe hunters need to take a page from the warlocks, they complained a lot and got buffed to be the near the top on WCL. Because thatās what they use to balance anyway 
For real though, they need to just revert this dumpster fire of a rework or at least add some of those band aid buffs back to make it viable while they try to figure out the bugs. Only thing that can be done is wave around these post, and hope an intern eventually reads all the issues with the 11.0.5 changes to hunter and so they can add a segment saying āFix MM bugsā so there is a chance they get fixed when they spin their wheel of buffs/nerfs next.

Agreedā¦ how could anyone look at the numbers AFTER fixing a double-dip mastery bug and STILL nerf the damage? New DR got a substantial nerf to our core kit from changed hero talents. Give something back to usā¦

Wish we could at least get a blue post on this. SOMETHING to tell me if Im wasting my time waiting or not.
Im trying to kill time with Surv or the broken BM spec while I wait but it is getting annoying going from launch having some of the most fun Iv had in awhile to getting my spec basically deleted from the game.

One benefit of DR vs Sent is that it is not an AOE that targets can move out of; vs targets DR is a bit weaker but if your Sent targets arenāt in or donāt stay in the aoe then you never get the full bene of the damage.

At least I can be extra lazy on BM and perform just fine in pvp while MM is below average, its not ideal, and I donāt like it but my hunter doesnāt need to be shelved so to speak.

DR is bugged and over nerfed
Sentinel is boring and frustrating , whole spec based around an aoe ground effect that has an owl flying, lauching arcane shotsā¦rooted in placeā¦
Ground aoes in actual WoW sucks, so many mechanics force tanks to move both trash and bossesā¦

I think the playstyle of Dark Ranger feels really good now, but it feels like it missing a lot of damageā¦ I think Kill Shot does more damaga than Black Arrow, i dont care if its magic damage it should hit hard. I see Rets and shammys just flying past me in dmg no matter how hard i try.

What happened to all that happiness and glory from last year? All the while Iām now starting to shed my Cata SV noob coat. Iām even learning how to make Cata Ferals sweat for their HKs.
For a āweek 3ā moment, I thought this was established already: Blizz has their own share of the blame being nothing IF NOT a small indie company about all this DESPITE this is almost the first year going for MSoft. I understand that a post-Bobiablo Sanctuary is still going to be chaotic; there are still demons and archdemons not quite slain yet in the world. However, trying to make DKR a good spec via making it comically broken OP is not a viable strategy.
I shouldnāt have to tell anyone else that the non-Hunters are going to look at us hard like they always do and demand it gets squashed.
Just do what works, and stop doing what doesnāt work. It should come as no surprise I havenāt touched the first breadcrumb of TWW besides this forum subject matter. BTW I wish Microsoft a happy holiday season, but come January I hope theyāre ready to CONSOOM Starbucks. Whatever they did the first year in was nice and all.

Whats boring for you may not be boring for everyone though. If you dont like it maybe re roll a new class.
Theyāve done more this XP than they have in a very long time. I have a feeling weāll see some more activity soon. I dunno if MDI has any bearing on changes or notā¦ although, Iāve seen no hunters on the teams recently soā¦ ahem.

The changes donāt make the class boring. The changes make the class do substantially less damage in both ST and AoE, forcing anyone who wants to play MM into āchoosingā Sentinel, which is just boring.
