Maybe it’s just my circles, but I never heard anything but hate for Linkin Park after Middle School age. They had some great songs here and there though, both their older stuff and the new.
Some like them, some don’t. It’ll just depend on the people. It’s the same with anything. My niece and her friends went to see them in Phoenix a year or two ago. Still big fans.
Some focus on the emo lyrics. But not everyone hates them.

I love Tool, but I feel like I need to be in the mood to sit down and just do nothing but listen to their music, otherwise it ends up being background noise and not much else.
Which means I don’t listen that often, especially since a lot of my music listening is just on my commute and I feel like I don’t get in enough music if I only listen to 1 song the whole way there when 4 normal songs would fill the same time span.
I will say that I was playing FFXIV’s new expansion when Fear Inoculum dropped and the song ‘Descending’ really caught my attention because I felt like you could apply the lyrics to all the new Ascian stuff we learned in the story. Like, it’s obviously not a perfect fit, but close enough if you stretched it a bit, ya know?
I also really like Terminal Frost of theirs
