No it doesn’t. It was the highest damage per corruption by far. And it isn’t gimmicky like TD and Inf stars, which are only good in very specific situations. Infinite stars only excells on fights like Shad’har, otherwise it’s near useless. TD has a Z hit box and requires you to be in melee range.
Gushing Wounds was by far the best corruption for PVE. With the ability to reliably stack it, it would be op.
