Thing is, if you’re really unsatisfied with loot and how it’s handled, you can take everything on the way out because they use rclootcouncil and make everyone pass.
Any “unfair” loot agreement, is one that you agree to first.

You can’t trade it with PL if it’s an item level upgrade.
His point actually seems to be they are not assigning tier at all and letting everyone need/greed as they want and let the chips fall where they may.
Which if the guild agrees to that then it’s fine.
That method is taking the flexibility of GL and using it like PL where gearing is solely up to RNG. And when that is the case there is no reason to think that everyone would gear up at an equal rate.
Trade restrictions in PL could have been removed same as they were with group loot.

That only works if the item drops unfortunately. I don’t know how, but I snuck into a normal PUG on my PEvoker that killed most of the bosses with tier fairly painlessly with only me and another person on the token. Guess which token never dropped?
I somehow got a DIFFERENT token off a greed roll off I think Sennarth.
Maybe you should find another guild sounds like the simplest solution. Or find a group of people to run your weekly raids with. But not all guilds operate the way yours does. A little trial and error goes a long way my friend. And im sure theres plenty of guilds looking for players.
Sounds like you need a new guild brother. I was once in a guild doing heroic progression for a while. I had grown relatively close to a few people and it was good fun. I’m not the best player and the guild wasn’t the best guild. One day they brought in this Demon Hunter to the group to help lead us through some fights. Guy was a real weirdo from the south but whatever. One of the fights were struggling due to mechanics not DPS, people kept standing in bad. This hillbilly and the GL go into a private channel then come back say yeah sorry (nothing beyond that) and kick two of us. I was one of the two. I had not died in bad, but my DPS was low. I talked to the GL later in the night, he said no hard feelings but DH wanted two less people so that the boss would be tuned down. We were getting to like 5% and this was a mount dropping boss. I /gquit the next day and realized there’s a lot better guilds out there.
Sounds like you’re a bench or alternate to the team, or they have a terrible loot system as a guild.
If you have AOTC getting a normal pug should be no problem, if you don’t have time for M+ or a normal raid outside your one raid with guild, maybe you aren’t available enough for that guild
Get those 8 that want to do normal, find +2 and do normal.

Are you a part of the core team or a casual that comes and goes?
I’d understand if you were just a casual in guild and they had to prioritize tier on their main raiders otherwise it just sounds like a crap guild.
So its literally the exact same as personal loot would be. People hate group loot so much when it is literally 100x better if youre not playing with scum bags and the exact same as PL if you are.
Thats with alt nights are for and how we set up our raid schedule once we are ready to move into heroic.
It can add an extra night (we do Tues/Thurs prog and Sunday alt night) but it’s unfortunate that people are being left behind with how you guys may do it.
But other than suggesting that to your own guild, or just offering to set it up yourself, I’m sure there are pugs looking for same.
Unfortunate but PuGs and LFR exist.

Incompetent guild. Find another. Players are pugging 8/8 heroic, so there should be plenty of guilds at least working on heroic Raszageth.
If you are in a guild that is doing that it sounds very clicky and you should honestly find a new guild.
I’ve been through that with various guilds and it usually results in my leaving or me just pugging my way to victory. I know you said you don’t have a lot of time but it sounds like your raid lead/GM doesn’t care and it’s just a free for all for loot.
If 4 pieces are being funneled to those without it yet then definitely go see what you’re options are as far as guilds.
There’s raiding communities you can join as well that has bunch of cross server groups that you can join and clear content with that way that are still clearing normal to get that 4 set.
You’ll eventually get yours tho if you stay sounds like yall are killing bosses on heroic so it’ll eventually come your way
Depends on the raid tier tbh. LFR and Normal, sure… Everyone there gets a chance. Heroic and Mythic progression however? That’s a different beast, and those are about the guild as a whole.
If you want gear for just showing up to heroic and mythic be prepared to pay for it.
This is how guilds die. When some feel like they are better --even due to the fact they have tier and others don’t. I joined a guild last expac and I was 15 ilvls behind. They refused to even clear the first few bosses of the raid so I could catch up in gear LOL. I did 2 weeks before i stopped asking and stopped showing up.
