While no, I would hope that isnt normal, the person in question is asking for a carry. Something I’d never ask a guild I would be a part of for. It would be one thing to have an m+ team and work your way up to it, but said player isnt doing that, they are asking for a carry in content they haven’t even cleared once.

The closest thing I’ve seen to that was people in our fairly casual guild begging for WoD challenge mode runs after my group finally managed to gold everything. The guy running the group said they’d have to make it worth our time, and nobody took him up on the offer.

Well if the guild helped them two chest that 13 and then turned around and said they were going to charge them for the 15, there are two possible reasons here. One is that the guild is being jerks, the other is that OP did so poorly in that 13 that they felt the need to charge them for the 15 they were hoping to do afterwards.

Charging guild members to help them with gear up shouldn’t be a thing. You should bail on that guild as fast as you can bleed them for whatever gear you can. It is not the norm by any means.
Ive been in guilds that did this and would burn themselves out feeding endless gear to people that ended up not being loyal and would just leave after abusing the people helping out.

Really? It happened that much where it impacted a guild? Why would someone gear then go? That just doesn’t make sense.
Run away from a guild like that. I used to sell runs for M+ my group never charged a guildmate for a carry.

Not usually normal , but then not all guilds are the same , maybe its a thing for some. I will admit my pet hate is people with no raid or M+ experience joining a guild and demanding a 15+ key done or be taken to a raid but charging members does sound a little rude.
Sounds like you need to poke around for a new guild.
Most likely why they were charging in the first place~

I see no problem, she’s asking for a carry she pays for a carry. You (or her) are not entitled to get progression for free just because you signed up to a random invitation.
You don’t wanna pay for a carry? Engage with your guild, be part of their activities, help other people before asking for something in return. I can assure you if she had any friends in there they would carry her for free.

I’d avoid those guilds like the plague, that is extortion and false advertising if they claim to be progression.
There are guilds around who are real progression guilds, “Karma Horde” are awesome for one, take a look in the guild listings for your realm op.
