Guild wars 2 is getting player housing

Nah im playing a rogue with black eyes, you guys are playing pandas and gnomes lol

I don’t think you read the original post where they described themselves as a man.

I responded to their statement.

Therefore, a gender neutral response is not answering, in fact, the question. It wasn’t missed, it just wasn’t required.

To be fair, reading that entire comment chain was not worth the time

It’s weird you jumped on the provider train in general, thanks for doing your part turning this thread into a dumpster fire.

Isn’t that what achievements are for?

no, thats an abstract visual that appears in my head when i think about it.

The Y button is the default key to show your achievements in game :slightly_smiling_face:

I dont care if wow has it or not, but am VERY VERY tired of the dangling carrot. We’ve heard all types of excuses over the years why it’s not yet implemented (but we want to do it) but you think after TWENTY YEARS they would have thought of somwthing

We already got player housing, it was garrisons. I thought it was one of the best additions to the game… blizzard and I guess other players thought otherwise.

Now that we have warbands I want garrisons to return. Would be nice to go to my base and have access to my alts crafting abilities without having to mail reagents and log off/back on craft mail items and log off and back on again.

Also, would be cool to be able to quest with an alt as a follower/bodyguard… multiboxing is popular for a reason.

I couldn’t imagine if we downed a heroic raid boss and he dropped table… I would be livid.

Tell me you’ve only ever played WoW in your life without telling me you’ve only ever played WoW in your life. Garrisons are anything but player housing.

It’s laziness. Otherwise, we would actually see new races and not a third low-budget dwarf recolor variant as an expansion feature. There’s no point in sugar-coating it. :dracthyr_shrug:

pass , maybe guild housing similar to ff14

I would imagine house would bring extra intense amout of trash and collection into already overbloated game, hard pass for any housing. The Covenants added enough (too much) stress in SL.

Technically, yes, however, I used MakePlace and a couple of other addons that made positioning much, much easier.

I also used posing tools for screenshots, but that’s beside the point. Third party addons exist.

They can fix a lot of stuff by making instanced housing, and flagging any zone outside there as ā€œnot buildableā€.

And anyone caught exploiting it gets a permanent ban.

Honestly, at least it’s easier to get than the griffon in GW2. Even the Skyscale I don’t have because it’s a pain in the butt to get. And it’s so mandatory in Secrets of the Obscure that they loan you one.

I quit playing that game after realizing I had to grind out a ton of old achievements and stuff to get things like leyline gliding for the raids. Just no.

Since I can’t post links, here’s the title of a video where someone completely redid the Moon Sugar Meadow open building plot in ESO. Desert and forest, Moon-Sugar Meadow- ESO Housing

Some of the things people do in that game are amazing with the housing.

…considering the astronomical amount of inflation in the game, having more gold sinks in the game would help…

I wish. But it will never happen as long as Ion has a say in it. Hes said as much.

You don’t speak for everyone, it’s actually a rather fun game to play especially if you’re burning out on WoW for the week/month. It’s also free to play despite all the cosmetic transmogs in the shop so…it’s a different model than WoW as WoW could never survive the free to play style

As for getting housing in Guild wars 2… it…actually sounds nice. I can make furniture for my own use rather than guild’s use and I don’t gotta share a home with all the random soldiers or other families on my Charr. Also sounds like they’re just handing it over to you without the need for an insane auction which is nice. Now I can grow all the herbs I need for my crafts in one room, relocate my mines to another… just have time to relax and unwind during the game rather than running around needing to kill something or be killed by it. Maybe they’ll add a system for the minis to wonder the house

I tried!

When I left WoW two years ago it was to play Guild Wars2 and I honestly tried!

But I couldn’t deal with the artstyle. It just didn’t feel like a fantastical World like Azeroth does. And my character felt… too ordinary, generic almost, despite the ridiculous amount of customizations (I needed a beer and shot just to get thru creating a character).

I still have it on my computer and I figure I’ll re-try it the next time I ragequit WoW but it would never be a replacement.

? i dont need to

if it had any amountable playerbase i would see their content or hear about it on random social media or thru talks from other players

you are the first person ive heard even mention guild wars 2 this year
