Nobody judges guilds based off their house, that’s what raid rankings are for.
I have. It sounds like you were just a poor leader who couldn’t manage their guild and got butthurt when people complained to you that you were being a poor leader.
If it’s THAT stressful for you just don’t lead a guild, I don’t get how this is even an issue.
And you also spoke in sweeping generalizations where you tried to pass your own experience off as everyone’s. Fail.
Ya its an addon called RCLoot and it just autopasses everything and then the master looter distributes it. It’s exactly what master loot was lol.
Honestly we already had something like this in WOD and tbh it wasn’t a very big hit I am sure it’ll be the same thing. Honestly I think to really make the player housing or guild housing worth it they need to really make it super customized by players which I don’t think they will do so it’ll turn into a flop
depending on the guild, but in swtor, the guild base was popping. Mostly because player housing and guild bases acted like a city for the players instead of going back to the fleet.
You had your global trade networks (auction house), banks and legacy banks (warband system wow just created). So you never truly needed to go to the city, you just open up your menu, teleport to your player house or guild base and repair, buy, sell there and teleport out to where you were.
Also made trading easier between guild members. Instead of just mailing something, we talk in guild chat, say let’s go to the base, meet up at the base, trade, teleport out to where we were to continue what we were doing.
We didn’t. We had a campaign questing and profession hub, not actual player housing.
That’s extremely difficult to implement in a game like this. Rift was built for that type of system. WoW… not so much. I see WoW’s system being closer to SWTOR.
Depended on the guild. I was in quite a few with different characters for a while to learn how they utilized their Strongholds, how they decorated, got donations, etc.
Some guilds, the guild ship had people there a lot. Some didn’t. And after a while… guild ships kinda died out and were mostly utilized for their perks, summoning and to complain about who decorated it. lol
Is it what I want? Hell yes. Is it what I expect we’ll get? Nope.
I think Blizzard could do it. Especially if they dedicated themselves to the project and don’t just “minimum effort” it like most things… but this is Blizzard and I fully expect minimum effort.
I expect them to create a system using existing assets that they can continue to use existing assets to sell us— basically the same way Old Republic did.
I mean… nothing in those deco packs is new. Yet people gobble it up like mad. lol
I suspect Guild Halls only would definitely suppress participation in the content. After seeing quite a few guilds disintegrate overnight, I would be reluctant to contribute anything in a guild, that I am not the owner of, and have it taken away.
Guild Halls as an option? A good plus. As the only option? No.
Played a game called Dark Age of Camelot that eventually added housing. It was a cool place for stuff and a new layer of costuming (chairs lights etc).
The coolest aspect of housing was the addition of Taxidermy and the chance to loot the head of rares and bosses to hang in your house…
Back in my day…
We used to have guild halls, every kill, quest, dungeon/raid run would contribute gold to the guild as well.
The glorious days of the " Mega Guilds"
What if portal in player house to get to guild hall that can be disabled if they don’t want the visual? That way the portal can just be coded to link to the guild hall of the guild each specific character is in and it doesn’t matter where their house is.
