In Vanilla we had an actual DJ in the guild from Atlanta Georgia, he was the healing officer.
This must have been some trickery back in the day; but our open Ventrillo lounge always had a nice playlist going at a volume where you could still hear people clearly.
I know very little about this kind of thing. How could you make this work with modern software like Discord, etc?
Almost every Discord channel on my list have DJ bots
I figured it might be that simple, good to know man.
I have to figure that with 40 people in a raid you’d have way too variable of musical tastes.
Though at least with a bot on Discord you can mute the bot without needing to mute the officer playing the music.
What you really need is a good bard!
I had a guild that one of the officers ran the bot and he would use it relentlessly. Had to mute him too. Heh, I was OK with that because I hardly read the chat but the bot replies to him were rather large.

I used to permamute anyone with music playing, back in the day. Its fine for a chat lounge but if you put it in a raid, its just painful.
