The Slippery Slope fallacy is a fallacy that makes an assumed logical connection in the premise to lead to any conclusion you want.

P. If Blizzard adds loot sharding, they will add LFR/LFG/Titanforging/Warfronts.

Q. Blizzard is adding loot sharding.

Therefore, Blizzard is adding all that garbage.

Well, since P is true and Q is true. obviously our conclusion is true. But P is an assumption. That is like saying, if it is icy out, then I will crash my car. Well, it could be icy out and I might just stay home.

Don’t retail players have their game? I don’t have mine. Game hasn’t been the same since TBC and iv been looking for authentic private servers that don’t have corrupt gms and don’t get shut down by Blizzard. No luck. Blizzard finally says they want to bring it back? Im definitely happy! Why should retail players be able to make changes to the game though? Because they cant handle not having QoL features hand them everything? Not fair to me. Not fair to everyone that’s been begging to return to Vanilla.

I’m with you on the no changes, but my first post in this thread was covert sarcasm. I guess these forums would be bland without all the different individuals (especially those that claim they speak for others) clamoring to have their vision of Vanilla. ActiBlizz doesn’t care. They already made their road map and will give us the product they decide on.

I guess I just have a different perspective of the company providing us the game since I got hyped at the announcement and resubbed to see just what kind of developer they are now. Pessimistic would be an accurate description.

I didn’t realize that they got rid of the cap so i made a new thread since the part 14 was close to 1000. However it doesn’t really matter since we are at the same point we were in part 14. People for guild banks asking for them and Classic players saying why they are bad for the game using facts and logic.

Like I said before, if Blizz said they’re going to start Classic without GBs and then take a look at the landscape down the road, I’d be fine with that. If the raiders came back and said that the logistics of organizing and equipping 40 mans are excessively prohibitive then maybe they would need to be added. I know that it was done without GBs before, but times have changed. I also know that there are militants on both sides that won’t change their opinions no matter what happens.

I know that Mr. Brack has said that Blizzard is good no matter how many people play Classic, but I choose to remain dubious. As close to the original as orcishly possible is preferred, but not at the expense of long term viability. But to start out with all the changes in the hopes of being a huge hit out of the box seems a bit disingenuous given their stated goals.

As you noted, guilds were able to equip and organize 40 man raids without guild banks quite well during vanilla. Organizing and equipping a 40 man raid will be no more difficult in classic than it was during vanilla.

Times have not changed. Player mindsets are what has changed.

Players seem unable to function without their QOL’s. Classic should not be about “convenience”, IMO.
