It was a part of vanilla, even if some would consider it one of those warts.
Vanilla is NOT a religion.
So, you can quit acting like anything other than #nochanges is blasphemy. Nowhere, does any god, (in game or otherwise) command us to keep vanilla “pure and unadulterated” 1.12. Even if some god did so, I wouldn’t listen anyway

I kind of hope the prices wouldn’t be lowerd, but increased. While, I get what you’re saying about buying gold, one big reason people have for adding guild banks was gold sink. Even if the gold was purchased from another player, that’s still gold being deleted from the game. So, I think that’s fine.
Will also put a target on your back if you do buy the gold for it and Blizzard could take action if the guild was purchased illegally. 
That would be one way. Though i would guess some enterprising players who have nothing better to do would be willing to farm the hours upon hours to make this happen. Never underestimate that which has no life 
Except that Blizzard has stated the goal of classic is to recreate vanilla as close as orcishly possible, not to fix what someone may think was a flaw.
They even said they do not plan to use “modern solutions” to fix what some view as flaws, problems or warts in vanilla.
I will continue to be here asking that Blizzaard hol d true to their word and provide a Classic that is as close to vanilla as orcishly possible.
Just as I will be here reminding everyone that no change is a request.

They have said they would and are in fact fixing things they consider non core game play issues.
Whether you think guild banks fall into that category or not is a different discussion than whether blizzard is open to making changes or not.

I’m not actually sure either. It wouldn’t bother me if it was instant, then Blizz adds the 1 hr timer to classic. That’s a change I could support. RP immersion is #1 imo
As I said, we will have to wait and see whether Blizzard favors authenticity over convenience, especially non vanilla QOL conveniences.
You keep requesting that Blizzard ignore the requests for authenticity and I will keep requesting that Blizzard choose authenticity over non vanilla QOL conveniences.
While the designed use of guild banks may have been for guilds, players have shown incredible ingenuity when it comes to finding ways to accomplish their goals.
If I can go from 140 spots on my character to have 728, it’s worth the investment. I can start with a warlock that is a tailor, no life it while I level up, collect cloth and start making bags. Everybody needs bag space so there’s a good chance they’ll sell. Once I get to the point where I’m making 16 slot bags, I can now begin my quest for server domination of the bag market on the AH.
I bet having that extra 600 spots would make my quest much easier. At least until every character on every player on a particular server is fully bagged out. That shouldn’t take more than…?
Maybe potions would work. I admittedly don’t know diddly about alchemy (it was always blacksmithing or LW for me.), but if there was a highly in demand potion, that might prove to be effective. And seeing as they’d need to be replaced, I’d never run out of customers.
All I really need is enough potions or bags or whatever to set a price that’s a) profitable for me and b) cheap enough that people wouldn’t want to undercut me. That’ll certainly be a lot easier with just one guild bank tab almost doubling my storage capacity.
Would I personally ever do this? No. I’m far too unmotivated. Banks vaults or no bank vaults though, I stand by what I said earlier: I’m not worried about launch day nearly as much as I am what happens a few years down the road. Between now and then, I’ll debate here on the forums and anxiously away Classic’s arrival.

Maybe for you it is, but you seem to vastly over state how many people care about that much bank space.
I would genuinely be curious to see how many people even maxed out their personal bank space in vanilla.
For example what makes you think this? Most quest items are single stack and need to be on your person to turn in, zero benefit from more bank space.
Asking for one thing in the name of security shouldn’t be chastised. But you try and demonize those requests which might actually help the long-term health of the game.
Why?
I crafted LW with skinning, had a miner engineering and had a herbalist talor. I kept all the mats on two bank alts, and that included over 60 inventory used on the bank alts for playing the AH.
I didn’t have an enchanter in vanilla because I didn’t think it would be as useful for me because I wasn’t interested in a profession that destroyed gear (I was 10 and foolish)
But hay, if you had inventory issues. Maybe it’s because you weren’t using your space very well.
I was referring to my quest for server wide domination. And 600 extra spots would certainly make that easier. Unless there was some other lunatic that had the same idea and we ended up in a vicious battle to corner the bag or potion market.
As for how many people maxed out their banks in Vanilla, I have no idea. I maxed out several characters worth of banks spots in BC though and by Wrath I was filling guild banks with consumables for when the time came to start working on alts. DKs made this a lot easier.
The early guild tabs are cheaper. Meaning guilds would only but the bigger tabs as gold is more available.
But I’m not saying the price per tab has to perfectly mirror retail.
As a meaningless extra, does all of this talk about Classic make the wait feel a little bit worse or is it just me? I swear I’m getting to the point where I need a WoW fix so badly I’m almost desperate enough to renew my retail sub.
