We do have a nice lil’ community here. I appreciate all of you!
How was their explanation and clear apology in the first post disrespectful? Some of you really look hard to feel slighted.
Yes, that is what living in an economic crisis does to people.
When I was unhappy with my job as a student, I just walked out of it and had a new one next day. But today, even academic folks struggle with finding a job, leave alone the people that have no degree of sorts.
They then work in amusement parks and sleep in caravans, while diving the trash cans for food. What has our world come to? We are not better than african countries and their tourist ressorts, it´s crazy.
So ya, I understand if people are afraid to lose their “better” jobs over strangers that go havoc in a forum.
this is the point people seem to be missing. there was never a time in this game where you could tell a GM “hey, i lost ten spectral tigers, could you please restore them?” and they’d wave their GM wand and give you your ten spectral tigers.
Maybe the real guild banks were the friends we made along the way, lol.
That is cheesy and I love it!
LOL probably right. Though I have to say, some of my actual human friends have come back to the game after leaving. Not so much with my bank . . .
If you notice, the “Bugs” subforum absolutely EXPLODED with activity this expansion, it’s pretty telling - and also concerning
Personally, I almost never posted in the “Bugs” forum before patch 11.0/TWW. I posted there maybe once every few years… at the most. Now? I visit the “Bugs” forum every single day, and I refresh the page multiple times a day
If you look hard enough you can see some threads just straight vanish. Some of them get stapled here, but not all since not all bugs are about this.
Yeah, that’s more what I was referring to. Random bug report threads about this or that newly-broken thing ever since 11.0 got rolled out, left and right
Also complain threads/bug reports about “old”/legacy content suddenly being broken - also conveniently happened right around the time 11.0 hit
And the common theme/common denominator to the bug report threads is basically “ever since TWW went live” or “_____ was fine during Dragonflight, now it’s bugged”
I’m done, sub canceled.
They have made clear that the Anniversary event is primarily for those that purchased their bug ridden expansion rather than everyone. The very expansion that caused this mess. They know very well that there are people not buying the expansion because of this and other problems. I don’t know how many, but it’s a clear taunt to us by giving those who purchased it a much easier relaxed time of it.
I’m done having to treat events like jobs to get what I want, especially when they have shown repeatedly they don’t care how stable the data is and they have no regard for player time spent.
Such a shame, isn’t it? It should feel like a celebration, not holding celebration hostage till you buy the expansion. Should be plenty to do and earn for ANYONE, not just max level people. This should feel like a “Thanks for spending time in our world,” not “If you want the goods, you’d better buy the latest, bug-ridden xpac, and then grind out stuff each week.”
They didn’t even GIVE the full 20% (for 20 years) but made you EARN 10 while only giving you 10. Maybe it’s not much, but it’s not even WARBANDS BOUND, so people who want to level a bunch of toons can’t even get the full amount without spending a lot of time. Even the 5 year gave you a FREE PET, to say thank you. Sure, I have a bunch of Timewarped Seals already to buy a lot of stuff, but that’s not the point. They are lacking the kind of spirit they had in earlier anniversaries. It’s opportunistic, not an actual celebration.
For the 10th year anniversary they mailed out physical orc statues to players who subscribed all of those 10 years. Its been on my desk now for about the same length of time. On the underside there is an inscription.
“The orc statue is a constant presence in our life at Blizzard entertainment. It’s where we meet to talk, to eat, to celebrate. As we celebrate ten years of World of Warcraft, we present this token of appreciation to you, stalwart adventurer. Thank you for being a constant presence in our lives as we adventure together.”
It always gave me a small sense of comfort as I played, believing I was playing a game that respected me as a player and a longtime fan. Now the same words ring hollow, I feel completely disrespected and disregarded. After 20 years of WoW, 3 Blizzcon trips, collecting all the collectors editions, and being a fan of the series since I was 9 and Orcs & Humans just came out, and this is how they kill the magic. Breaks my heart.
They used to! I’ve played since midway through BC, and I’ve always felt that they’ve valued me as a player all the way up until a few years ago. Unfortunately now is the era of Corporate Greed and any and all corporations only care about money. Maybe they always did, but now they openly show it.
Me too.
I am 100% ok with corporations making money – just treat your customers like you respect them and appreciate them.
Yea the amount of bugs this expac blows all previous expac bugs away.
Bliz stance on them seems to be ignore it and it’ll go away.
Did the partial restore already happen? or has a date for it been given?
There wasn’t one. If you were lucky you got back maybe a (partial) stack of old ore or cloth or meat, possibly a holiday item. Most people still got nothing and its apparently going to stay that way.
It’s already happened to the best of my knowledge, myself and several others received items within a few days of the announcement. Between that and the language used, I believe it is done.
This is actually a form of emotional abuse called “invalidation”. One of the guys that trolled me almost 6 months ago is in here. I had him on ignore, but sometimes I read the forums on my phone and I’m not logged in. He appeared here a little while ago.
Do not engage them - at all. All of us.
