if you melee damage the boss the horrors should aggro to you. Thats mostly how i did them.

I did it pre-nerf. Unbridled Fury doesn’t do 10%. I had a few sub 10% wipes (actual 10% of 33%, not 10% raw) using Prolonged Powers earlier in the night.
Tanking for anyone as dumb as Velen is a pain. Dude needs to move out of stuff.

Also doesn’t help the druid circle is must larger for druid tanks which makes it impossible to get thrash stacks.
Unlike in Legion with the wrist, you were able to do so.
Come to think about it there’s no real tanking aspect of the guardian druid challenge. especially since you’re using boomkin through the whole time
No, it wasn’t it. I did it 2x in Legion on 2 different druids with different ilvls and it wasn’t nearly this bad.
The lost of luffas, and variss circle being like double the size of other tanks makes this more annoying then it needs to be, especially for keeping thrash up for extra dps.
There was another player saying “thrash reaches” if ur on edge of circle without taking stacks, but I tried it and its a no go even with balance affinity.
P1 no but p2 is cause of cd management for the stacks. You don’t manage your tank cds, you’re toast!

You actually can if you’re using the balance talent, but the distance between hitting with thrash and getting a stack is small enough to need an electron microscope to see it. In dozens and dozens of attempts I’ve managed it like… 5 times.
That said, the unfortunately reality set in that I wasn’t winning this using bear abilities in p1 anyway. 
Unbridled is entirely RNG-based on how well it performs. If you pop it say… right when adds are spawning on Kruul it’ll be higher because of how quickly the adds spawns in p2.
Another factor to be considered is if you’re running trinkets, enchants, racials (Kimball or bwonsamdi as zanni) or anything else that can proc damage. Galactic can proc unbridled and unbridled can proc galactic and kimbals can proc on proc. It’s weird.
You can maintain 3 thrash stacks at all times… its not impossible at all.
managing debuff stacks, interupting, generating threat on adds, crowd control, ad movement, kiting, proper use of mitigation. Seems like tanking to me.

Sure, but if you use typhoon and push inquisitor to the back the eyes will always spawn within reach.
Try using your artifact weapon with double weightstone. The dps increase was quite considerable from what I was using.
Double weight stone ok.
Can you still have them enchanted while weight stone is to?

This is how solo tanking stuff always is, though. Brawler’s Guild is the same way when you do it in a tank spec - it’s a DPS check because of the enrage timer.
