There are smart ways to complete the FFA WQs without being in a group.
Boss ones? You just need to be alive to tag it when it is still red to you, if you die, wait for others to kill it. If it completely resets? Release and try again.
Wild Arcana? You will die if you are late to the party, no ifs ands or buts. Just focus on speed-killing the little baby adds, maybe get the invuln shield if it pops up and you will be able to be out of there in 5 minutes or less hitting NPCs.
Any of the extermination ones? Just hit NPCs. If they have every spawn camped? Well, there’s not much you can do if a whole raid is there spread like a carpet across an entire area.
Proto-drake wrangling? That is one you will have to give up if a group is camping the turn-in area because there’s no way around that since completion requires player kills or drake turn-ins. You’d have to be lucky to rush in with a few.
