Group loot - what stops me from stealing?

Everything else that is intended for your spec to equip you will be able to roll need on.

Why would me having mythic tier prevent me from rolling need on the mog of the LFR coloration?

This doesn’t make any sense. Did you read the rules? The only time you can’t role is if it’s the exact same piece at the exact same ilevel and no tertiary stats.

Short version is that there exists an exploit that allows you to ninja items from a loot council guild in PL, that GL prevents.

That trick was to simply not loot the boss, and have the item mailed to you.

His edit was too add the blue post. He has also already linked you the rules multiple times explaining what you are claiming isnt possible.

Its been answered multiple times.

Ah yeah, that. And exactly my point there are actually more ways to ninja with PL than with GL. And also people were ninjaing items with PL without even wanting to.

What is stopping people from removing gear they have a potential to win? Players can equip M+ or PvP gear. Guilds will funnel gear to their buds, no question. While other players will have long odds to gear and certainly will not be able to keep up with the favored of guild leadership.

Yeah, happend to my GM. Got mailed a Jailer offhand because he got knocked by the smash right as the boss died, and flew though the instance portal that had just spawned.

It’s far easier to funnel gear under the current system than it will be with group loot as designed.

As a Demon Hunter with personal loot if I want to have my buddies help, they can all play their Demon Hunter alt and by stuffing the raid with that class we force that class’s loot to drop.

With group loot the items are determined outside of the classes present, meaning that stuffing a raid with one armor type to funnel gear won’t help you.

Is it a Ninja to roll on something for your friend? What’s wrong with that? You’re loyalty to your friend is surely more important than attempting to be fair to someone you don’t know at the expense of your friend.

Yeah but my question is if I roll on loot I don’t really want along with I don’t already have plus some of my buds do the same and we just steal it. What prevents this? If I sell/ disenchant it before the next run does the system recorded it?

(Just adding caps to this too since you’re both trying to explain)

BTW I’m trying to disprove either of you just seeing some cracks in the system I wish to understand.

This happens in PL already

This is an excuse and even if it were true it would still happen with PL

Thanks for proving you havent read how the loot system works.

Assuming the item is intended to be usable by a hunter nothing.

The same way nothing stops PL from giving you an items you neither need nor want.

Group loot has safeguards this time around.

You are already doing that with PL without knowing it. Nothing is stopping you with both systems.

Doesn’t change the fact (in fact it will increase the fact) that if someone can roll need on something they will roll need. Player imposed social rules will have absolutely zero impact.

So it’s not perfect but I see what you and Thallia are saying. At least there are some safeguards. TY both

Hasn’t been my experience of pug heroics on Wrath.

You’re not stealing anything. You rolled, you won. You’re trying to create drama where there is none.

What next run? The next week? Who cares what happens next week?

There are no cracks. There’s rolls. People win or they don’t and we all move on with our lives.

Basically every complaint about this change in a nutshell.

You can’t all just roll on something. It needs to be for your armor/weapon type, AND you need to be in the loot spec matching the piece of gear. From what’s been said you also won’t be able to freely roll need on it if you have the same piece or a higher version fo the same piece.

You somehow think this would be less toxic than group loot?

That’s fine. They’re alllowed.
