Yet, the system doesn’t have those requirements. Imagine not being able to understand why.
That’s what the PL side was arguing for the longest time. Now they want to deny others the option to have their chance at the loot because reasons.
The double standard, 180, whatever it is, is absurd. I actually hope it’s people just trolling because anyone making those arguments for real is so hypocritical they should be a US legislator.
It makes perfect sense. a tank is offline and you main ret, but also play prot? play prot and lootspec ret.
want shorter queues for being a healer/tank yet main ret? play prot/holy and lootspec ret.
play tank? roll for tank items
play dps? roll for dps items.
very hard to comprehend apparently
rolling for offspec items should be greeded for, just as its always been
I mean, PL does exactly nothing to prevent people from doing that.
If they adopt that stance, then expect to see longer queues in LFR.
it did though
if you played tank, you could roll need on items like shields
if you didnt play tank, you could not roll need on those items like shields, you could only greed
PL doesn’t have need or greed.
past loot system was:
if you played tank, you could roll need on items like shields
if you didnt play tank, you could not roll need on those items like shields, you could only greed
You had an equal chance of loot with PL.
Now you can see whose rolling against you in an environment where you’re not beholden to a premade or guild.
I find it hilarious that you think it’s the “good” players who’re going to hold this game ransom when something like LFR turns sour.
So you don’t care about their fair chance at the item? Did that other person who’s rolling against you not just participate and kill the boss?
Nah, LFR only players would do that too.
The loot spec functionality existed for PL just as much as it does for GL.
correct, except rets could not need roll on shields, only greed ![]()
Loot spec was added in to accommodate PL.
Until 10.0, GL did not care what your spec was, only about what your class could equip.
And if you want to test that, run some dungeons as a DPS warrior with your loot spec set to prot, or vice versa.
Whose to say that person is more deserving of loot than you are?
You see how conflict starts in groups outside of premades.
Who’s to say they are less deserving of loot than you are?
Showing a player losing a roll isn’t exactly a fair compromise in either case.
And hiding a loosing roll is?
It creates less friction, yes.
