Ive seen kicks for LOT more, lol…but Ive seen this particular one a long list of times myself.
That or they literally leave the second accounts character at the gate standing there.
And if you say something they’ll say its their spouse or child and they’ll be right back and by the time you realize they aint coming back the run is over, lol
It’s not ‘anti-MMO’ to not want to be made to hold someone’s hand through a dungeon. The means to research the content is there. Watch a Youtube video or read up on the encounter in IcyVeins or WowHead before queuing into instanced content.
If everyone else in the group knows what they’re doing, and you don’t, they’re not the problem.
yup…had that happen a couple days ago. Same thing. Got to the point where the dungeon had a quest turn in and boom…tank bails, lol.
Didnt need him…two locks and a hunter, so plenty of pets to tank with, lol.
point is they STILL do it, they arent going to stop misbehaving over a 30 minute timeout…but it DOES affect that player who only has 90 minutes to play today and wanted to get in a couple dungeons and just happens to run into pathetic clowns who get a thrill out of kicking for that trash I posted in my list a couple posts back.
Totally and utterly juvenile behavior.
Remove the timeout, at least for the first kick of someones day, so they arent being punished over the childish trolling behavior of other players in this supposed ‘MMO’

They prove in here every day that they arent in this FOR the multiplayer aspect of this game.
Hilarious because its BLIZZARD who is asking players to play nice…did we forget the social contract ? did we miss the little box in the dungeon queue we can check if we want to HELP other players.
I think someone is missing the CLEAR HINTS that blizzard EXPECTS players to behave themselves and stop pretending this game is ABOUT them personally and they DO have other human beings to consider.
hard concept for some, I know.
You have to ask yourself why that personality type is even here in this MMO.
Even PVP games Ive played since online games became a thing had more civil players than THIS game does and thats pretty pathetic.

First kick…freebie. It happens.
Second kick…10 minute timeout.
then 20 to 30 minutes afterward
That punishes the trolls without overly punishing the persons trying to play the game legit, but being kicked by trolls for no good reason, which…as we CLEARLY see in this thread…some are overjoyed at doing to their fellow gamers.

One reason I like Timewalking dungeons is they’re usually pretty chill. Gear is scaled down anyway so you can’t really have “bad” gear. There is a meta about TW-specific gear, which is kinda fun but it’s niche and entirely optional. It can make a huge difference though. Ilike that it exists.
But because TW is chill, there’s very little kicking for BS reasons IME. While it’s rare it does happen and it’s usually because someone is afk or the tank or healer sucks. I’ve occasionally left a group beccause the group wouldn’t kick someone who should’ve been kicked.
I’ve so rarely seen someone kicked from LFR that I can’t recall the last time it happened.
I imagine most of the kicking is in M+ dungeon finder groups. This doesn’t surprise me. I can remember being yelled at in week 1 of Shadowlands for not knowing a skip… in a Heroic dungeon.
M+ is a whole level of toxic beyond this and a big part of the reason why is key depletion. They need to get rid of this. Wasting your time is sufficient punishment.

Holding your group members to a standard and pruning them out if they come up short? That’s too mean, we can’t have that. We have to make sure we accommodate everyone who wants to stop and gather nodes in an instance otherwise we’re being ‘anti-MMO’.

some players really should just stick to solo games. They cant behave themselves enough to involve other gamers in their own problems.

We ALL know the vote kick IS being abused for things OTHER than why it was created…which was problematic players causing REAL issues in group content.

I don’t think it is true. I think you want to play, but you want a fast run with no wipes. That means no mistakes.
But let’s give your attitude the benefit of the doubt. Well then, why not have a Candyland que just for people who might make a mistake? The cold, hard truth is that the group might be able to absorb one mistake, but not everybody making a mistake. This que will not complete content.
I stay out of content because I make mistakes, because it’s the right thing to do. If I need a carry I pay for it. I don’t expect you to carry me for free.

Youre in a MULTIPLAYER game where some players ARE new and others arent perfect human beings as you clearly deem yourself, lmao.
If you cant handle playing a game with fallible humans, then you NEED to go find a solo player game and stay there…because YOUR ill mannered behavior in game rudeless and unnecessarily costs other players to lose 30 minutes of the game THEY wanted to play just because you think this game revolves around YOU.
M+, yeah…I get it.
Elsewhere, kicking for ANYTHING on that list I provided above is juvenile and should be bannable.

I only initiate kicks on people that either go AFK on dungeons (more common in timewalking week, where people want to be free carried) or go AFK in LFR (usually happens after one boss is dead, people just sit there and wait to be carried.)
Also extremely rarely we get INTers, which doesnt really matter too much in timewalking but I will still initiate kicks on them. If you go AFK in a group activity you deserve to be kicked.

Dude, I was in that same exact run lmao! I typed “Kick the afk dead” in instance chat and others acknowledged it, however someone had to have been trolling because the VTK failed like four separate times… Only for the guy to drop the group as we were killing the last boss lol…
no i mean not dpsing at all, if you’re mining nodes or skinning fine that’s totally ok lol
