Yeah it is los based and if you have an enemy targeted it prioritizes damage it seems? Friendly makes it heal them if they’re low but it seems to always focus low teammates regardless of who you have targeted. Then it swaps back to damage. There seems to be some logic to how it works and as I mentioned with los you can force it all on one target. Grounding forces all to the totem and it won’t break from it. This obviously wouldn’t be a big deal in 3s where you can just have a teammate wack the totem but this is from a solo shuffle perspective where for the most part its healer vs healer and shamans can counter your biggest cd as priest with a 24 sec cd(that can be used more than once in 24 sec).
I get it disc isn’t strong I don’t even really care too much for playing it but like to mess around on it here and there I prefer holy priest. The interactions between these two cds stick out and seem unbalanced when messing around as a disc priest.
Yes I play evoker and grounding is very annoying. And you’re right, it’s strong. But is something going to get nerfed just because it’s strong and annoying? I don’t think so.
I don’t consider it to be broken at all, considering it has 5hp.
Again, it can be used after the channel is started and you can’t target it to kill it as the priest while channeling. It doesn’t need a nerf it just seems to have a weird interaction with this specific spell. Imo in a vacuum a 24 sec potentially multi charge spell shouldn’t 100% counter re-actively a 4 min cd.
Like if there was some skill required I could def stand behind it, but being able to throw grounding down after a priest cast a 4 min cd and you cancel all of it while they can do nothing about it is just too greedy of a trade to seem fair.
I swear it’s more on the hunter then it is the shaman.
If the shaman does what they should and the hunter doesn’t then the trap will be grounded. This is the only scenario where it happens.
If the shaman and hunter both don’t do what they shouldn’t trap won’t be grounded, might not land either. If hunter does what he should and shaman doesn’t trap lands. If both do what they should trap will land but probably be delayed.
