Can we please get some kind of guild transfer. Our guild isn’t like some ace guild or anything but we have over 60% of the available guild achievements earned plus guild bank tabs are expensive and require difficult achievements

Revert this change. It’s fine if the realm population is low, but forcing people to go to a PvE realm and even locking the creation of characters is absurd.

This is absolutely ridiculous.
Not only is there still plenty of people happily playing on Grobbulus, but it has been a precedent for the previous expansions to have a dead period in the middle of the expansion. Did you see WotlK and Cata at all?
On top of that, TBC is just now coming out so there is obviously a huge amount of the world pvp community playing that for now….Do you know how many would be coming back for Timeless Isle?
My friends and I have active world pvp whenever we log on. And that is ON TOP of the layers which you still haven’t removed.
Just a huge middle finger to people that have been waiting to replay mop for years and who have been loving every second of it.
Also, why TF are you restricting character creation and faction transfers? What possible reason would you need for that?
Also saying “the majority of players want to transfer off” based off a handful of players complaining on the forums? Seriously? You know nothing about grob.

I’m sorry - What major guilds were those that spoke for everyone, BIGPVP? Incredibly sad to hear/see that guilds both name/progress will be wiped out completely and that anyone and everyone with a unique name is going to have to change them come server transfer.
Other than the obvious reasons everyone else is pointing out, why not be less vague about available services and acknowledge the fact that you’re going to be shattering another set of years of memories for certain guilds. Find a way to support free guild transfers and this gets infinitely less bad…the name availability alone is disappointing.

I am legitimately curious why you feel the need to arbitrarily impose unprecedented changes to server dynamics. Free server transfer is fine…. But it was already strange when you closed the other PvP servers. And now you’re making the decision to condemn the last PvP server?
Were you pushed to do this in order to reduce server maintenance costs or something?

Yeah, except half of what makes mop great is the world pvp for a lot of us. Why would I care about cities and pvp vendors being populated with a bunch of blue names? Let the people solely interested in raids and arena transfer off (even though you should be easily able to play using cross realm LFG regardless).
This is either penny pinching being pushed by corporate or a shortsighted sweeping change based in poor logic.

ironwolf clan and all of our mutual friend guilds have not received an iota of communication from you, while we begged for layers to be removed, the ones you guys said would only be at launch.
there have been 9/10 pvp engagements between shrines, utterly layered. destroyed schedules, faiths in other guild leaders erased, faith in the server erased. this was what people came for. this is what people could not do.
to say you have failed is too convenient. this was on purpose, and i can see it in your prose about people “preferring” PvE. Blizzard has always had a grudge against its pvp communities in all versions of the game. we continue to prove with our actions that pve is a side quest, and we are the main story.

This happened because the wpvp activity has not been active enough even after the consolidation. They literally tried to get people to come here and it’s now even more dead than it was before the consolidation. The raiders are not the reason this happened, this happened because the leaders of those big pvp guilds stopped playing MoP completely. Blizzard can see the dips in open world engagement at any time in the day.
Let’s not pretend like it hasn’t been very active since the middle of November.
I know this because I was attending wpvp events every single week, and the mass gatherings all stopped happening middle of November and dropped dead beyond.
To be clear it sucks we have to leave because the economy is going to crash harder than it already has, and while so few of us in my guild like wpvp, we also raid and will not be able to recruit sustainably if we stay any longer than a week.

I agree on the character creation part, I do think it’s weird they closed that off. There really is no reason to?
our fights took up resources.
Grobb was great, but it’s sadly died a slow and painful death. Finding pug raids - even world boss groups - has been tough the past 2 weeks. Its sad to leave, but at least we’ll be able to find more friends to raid with again!

The only thing I can rationalize is that they don’t want people using a dead server to churn resources and free transfer over to the megasever endlessly. But they left Bloodsail open with free transfers so idk.
I create a guild one month ago, and it now has 300 members with over 10 active at all times. This server was thriving in a time when it should be expected to be in drought, and it surely would do better in the next few months than in the last 6. You are idiots who cannot do anything properly, revive my server or kiss my money goodbye. Also your “GM surveys” to people like myself need to be available for longer than 24 hours if they DICTATE THE FATE OF THE REALM. You are all incapable swine and for a fraction of your pay I would have all of your jobs automated and run a better game than you have done in years.

Thats funny, just yesterday I created a guild that got well over 40 trillion members. A deligation from blizzard arrived and we were discussing how I created a multi-planetary guild on Grobbulus. Over tea and biscuits we both agreed opening the transfers was a good idea. After that we traded jokes, skipped though the forest, and exchanged contact information.
They must have just missed you. Accidents do happen.
