I loved this talent, but it feels like Summoners embrace is the mandatory talent. I’d love to see these two talents be equal and interchangeable based on playstyle.
Does anyone know currently how much of a dps loss Grimoire is?
When i tested it on beta it was roughly about 3% on single target.
So it’s very slightly behind the other but not so much that it’s a noticeable dps loss.

We talking pve or pvp? For pvp for affy Sac is still your go to. But honestly I could see both working since having a pet makes you tankier. However just manage it well so it doesn’t die lol

I PvE mostly with a splash of normal BGs here and there. Sadly after some health issues I don’t have the reflexes I used to, to be good at arena anymore.
Ah that’s unfortunate but for pve deff go with keeping the pet but even with using sac its not a huge DPS loss.

Ive always used sack and will always use sac, the dps you lose isnt enough to keep pets if you dont like them. You will never not get an invite because your running sac

At level 80, ilvl 530 (am still wearing 4pc cause it isn’t turned off yet)… Demonic Sac is worth 8k and 11k dps. Summoner’s Embrace has been averaging about 7k to 13k.
So no, the difference is not dramatic. If you account for having to track your pet, possibly resurrecting your pet mid fight, or it gets caught in a CC or bugged and doesn’t attack etc… Then mileage will very.
You could just draw a straight line and the difference between the 2 talents is only slightly noticeable. This may change as gear improves since DS is pretty much a flat damage proc where as SE is a % modifier.

People don’t not take sac because of the dps difference, they don’t take it because you’re much tankier with a pet than without.
The 10% damage reduction from soul link is much better than 5% stamina.
Furthermore, you lose more utility with sac than without. You only get fel pups silence, but lose access to its purge. (You also can’t cast your kick while your CC’d if you have sac, which you can if you have your pet).
Sacs bad because of these reasons and not because of the dps comparison,
