Grimoire: Fel Ravager change

Can we get some commutation here blizz please

I wish they’d just leave us the hell alone. Every time Demo is good at something at the beginning of an expansion they work into every patch afterward to make it worse until by the end of the expansion they’ve gone from S to F tier.

Fel Ravager existing isn’t a good change. The way both the imp and ravager function is horrible and I hope both talents get taken out.

The most funny part to me is that they acknowledged when they announced the Fel Ravager change, that Demo’s interrupt situation was one of the worst in the game. So they give us Fel Ravager which is clearly very strong, but instead of meeting in the middle somewhere, they just decide to revert us back to having the worst interrupt in the game within one patch. There have been multiple fair and balanced changes proposed that they can take inspiration from.

They do feel awkward, at best. A big 2-minute cooldown that doesn’t interact with anything else in our kit feels like it was thrown in last minute. Damage is fine but they lack purpose and cohesiveness.

It’s just a maintenance buff that you can’t properly track because the icon gets replaced with another spell. You need to actively track it with the CDM if you want to know when you can press it again. That’s a horrible design.

Let’s try and keep this thread alive everyone so we get some feedback. We need a change to our kick or a revert to the talent change. (A revert is probably too strong, FYI other classes also have multiple ways of controlling mobs and a good kick) But we need a fix please!

Also, here’s an idea bring the kick back and move the fel guard stun to a 1-min cd or longer.

I really don’t see why they can’t just make Axe toss purely a stun. It having the ability to spell lock the minion is just pointless when it’s only spell locked for the duration of the stun. Give us the Fel Ravager and Spell Lock but make Axe Toss purely a stun, that can’t be too hard. Plenty of classes have separate stuns and kicks, I don’t see why we can’t.

Converting Axe Toss into (only) a stun while allowing us to keep a proper interrupt is similar to Hunters who can take both Intimidation and Counter Shot. It’s obviously not too overpowered for them to have that, and they have access to that through their class tree instead of one spec’s capstone.

LMAO. There is no health of the game. Blizzard screwed that pooch years and years ago.

Blizzard can’t even balance their own game. Just looking at the latest DPS logs from raids. If you think Blizzard is doing a good job of that then you are biased.

If summoning the Fel Reaver still resulted in an interrupt but the following talent became Devour Magic instead of the interrupt we have now, that’d be fine.

If they did that, I would like to see them lower the cd down from 2 minutes.

Alot of good ideas in this post let’s keep it coming. Hopefully a dev is reading this, so we get a change sooner rather than later.

Please and thank you.

Totally agree on that.

They make axe toss a hybrid because they didn’t had balls to give a proper interrupt to demo.
They also removed Spell lock from PvP talents.

It is clear that some absolute degenerate is in charge of Warlock changes, and that IQ midget doesn’t even play the spec outside of testing it against the training dummy.
Because of that person… and I’m willing to give that creature such credits, doesn’t even understand why Axe toss is bad as an interrupt.

Blizzard, please, for the love of god, just fix Demo’s interrupt and utility situation. When you added interrupt to Axe Toss, it was a terrible band-aid fix to Demo being the only dps spec to not have a kick. And Fel Ravager was the duct tape over the old band-aid.

Why are you trying so hard to keep demo’s utility in a much worse situation than the other warlock specs? Aff and Destro can simply summon the pet that provides the most utility based on the encounter, but Demo cannot (without a significant dps decrease).

Just make Felguard a passive pet, and let us summon our other primary demon for utility. And if you can’t do that before 12.0.5, then at least remove the stun from Axe Toss and change the CD to 24s to match Spell Lock.

Alright, then don’t ask me to be on kick duty when you have a baseline interrupt.

The irony of interrupts and stuns… is that the more you want them against an NPC foe, the less likely they are to work.

They should have just given Warlocks a baseline interrupt that isn’t tied to a summonable pet. Practically every other class and spec gets one or got one at some point (removing it from healers was equally dumb).

Anyone hear anything about blizzard thinking about the changes?

Lose a tool to cover stooges not interrupting in M+, lose more damage through bug fixes likely not factored into the previous aura nerf, feels pretty grim.
I feel like a corpo tool might make an appearance somewhere to say they’d rather we not play Demo, as happened in the dark times, in the long long ago.
