Hello there! I’m a high elf warlock of the Horde.
Because, “High” Elves have been in the game since TBC. You only choose to accept that now because you have no choice. This is why anti helfers relentlessly make fun of helfers, because of their delusional entitled mentality despite reasoning and logic thrown at their face.
Hey look at that, an ACTUAL High Elf without void aids, nice to meet you sir, how are you and your pure blue eyes treating you today. Bet is nice not having tentacles in your hair right?
Yet your post is the unnecessarily negative one.
You know if the issue was as black/white as you say it is there wouldn’t be so much controversy. Who are you trying to convince here?
I don’t accept it, when you have a setting where a group of humans can be considered a new race because of different customs, politics and for some reason being the size of orcs (never explained mind you other then the fact that they are NOT part drust) then I see no harm in high elves.
I will admit it would have been easier back in BC when blood elves were a darker take on elves that sucked down fel energy and manipulated the light to be paladins instead of what they are now . . . which is basically Horde Humans.
But it is a simple as it appears to be. Helfers demanded a race that already exists in the Horde like its nothing and no amount of compromise is enough. Look at all the hate velves got when first announced. Oh but noooooww it’s okay since you can be pale velves. Like you’re still a freaking velf lmao.
Except that it did get explained. Kul Tirans are big and burley because of their way of life in Kul Tiras, fighting sea monsters, braving raging seas, blah blah blah.
Weak explanation I agree but at least it’s something. High Elves on the Alliance would just give belves the panda treatment since their is no physical difference between the belves and helves unlike kt humans and regular humans…
Only if you take them at face value, after all, blizzard took the orcs from savage space demon monsters to a peaceful shamanistic culture corrupted by demons to a warrior culture corrupted by demons.
They could have kept the blood elves on one path (the darker path) and the high elves could have been trying to living without the influence of the sunwell, perhaps taking a more arcane path to the blood elves fel. However it seems instead they have alliance thalassians going void and horde thalassians going light . . . not a fan but I feel like it’s a set up to something.
Also to add to the Kul Tiran point it fits more the you’d think, as the official explanation would work better if most if not all Kul tirans looked like the playable ones instead of over half the Kul Tiran population being baseline humans with a smaller population of big ones and an even smaller population of thin ones.
It wouldn’t be the first time a playable race has NPC’s that have a different silhouette, it’s just weird for KT’s since the playable version is usually the one with bigger numbers, not the other way around. But w/e its not a biggy.
But they didnt, Belves were helves from the start and it was solidified after the restoration of the sunwell. Despite that helfers still clamored for high elves despite no racial difference.
NGL, that thought amuses me. Everyone else is like, “I was slain by the tide of undead” or “I was murdered by Cult of the Damned traitors and raised into service in the Scourge” then you got this one guy who was like,
“I tripped and broke my neck one day. Didn’t even know all this Scourge stuff was happening.”
Look we’re never gonna agree on this, I get it, my main point was maybe don’t be as toxic. Not saying my fellow pro high elfers can’t be toxic trust me I’ve seen it, just saying that it’s never good to sink to that level. All being toxic to toxic folks does is bring the community down further with it. Let’s all just enjoy the game and be respectful, have a good day.
Fine, fine Ill play nice if they play nice. folds arms
Didn’t the Alliance send the High Elves on a suicide mission and then kick them out of the Alliance when they didn’t die? Why would you ever rejoin them?
I’m sorry but I almost spat my coffee laughing when reading this part
Hello high elf, I am a low elf. I have no magical affinity at all, and I’m known to spend weeks in the woods having sordid encounters with night elves.
It’d probably be best for your health if you didn’t use drugs while trying to cast spells. Even as a void elf, drugs will greatly impair your ability to cast properly.
Hello generic looking member of the Alliance #64394
In the words of Rastari Enforcer #12 “sigh Elves…”.
No, not all Kul Tirans are that way. In fact, fun fact, the vast majority of Kul Tiran NPCs in Kul Tiras use the normal Human model.
Best post in this thread, here’s my like (ran out of them xD)
You finally see how we feel over the fact that you refuse to accept something that happened almost 15 years ago?
One would think a blood elf of all people would have good taste.
